I got off early from work yesterday, so I went to the closest casino near me.(60 miles away) I bought in about 230 in the afternoon. Table was $5, 5X odds. Was choppy most of the afternoon. I had a couple rolls in the 20 range. They changed the dice around 730pm, 2 players before me. When they slid me the dice and I was selecting my 2, I noticed they were fresh. I grinned a little to myself and thought, this is gonna be a good roll. It turned out to be a fantastic roll. I started with 6 on the line with 25 odds and a dealer bet on the line with odds. 2 come bets at 5/25. On the third win I went to 3 come
Bets and then 4 then 5, then one working all the time. After 2 repeat wins on a number I pressed my flat up to 7 with 35 odds. On the 5/9 I went to 8 flat 40 odds then on the third repeat hit I went o 10/50 then to 15/75… I threw well into the 40 roll range, then a comeout 7. I was handed back over 400 in odds which I kindly put into my rack. I did get another point and threw another 15-18 times before the roll was over. I had held the dice over an hour. I recall most everything that I learned in Memphis. I remember Rose saying she keeps her feet planted once she gets the dice. I did that. Never moved them for an hour+. When the come out 7 was rolled I needed aces for the small all tall bet. I considered for only a brief moment to set my dice 6/5-6/5 and try for aces. But I did not do it because I knew that if I didn’t make it there were a lot of garbage numbers that would not pay me anything if they were rolled. I am playing craps, not bonus dice..(lol) as soon as the roll was over I colored up. I made over 800 on that roll. The dice looked great in the air most of the time. Nice and together. Stopped well after the bounce to the wall. I’m ready for another great session. This makes 6 wins out of 8 sessions since Memphis in March. If anyone is questioning come betting over place betting or the 5 count. I can tell them this, if I were place betting I wouldn’t have made it to my great roll as I would have lost my buy in before that time came, most likely. I know the wins start out a little slower but so do the losses. Limiting the exposure on random rollers and maximizing it on good rolls is the key to long term success. Along with correct practice, of course. I am still walking on air from the excitement. There were people hollaring and yelling and Hi-fives all around. I just tried to remain calm. Take a deep breath, exhale, focus on my target landing spot, grip the dice and give a gentle toss. What a night!

Thank you NFF and Skinny. I read the article. And I understand the math behind it. However, have you found this to be true at all casinos, or just certain ones? I’ll ask the next time I go. I knew I could go 30 on the 5/9 with 5 on the line. Quite honestly, this is only the second time I have had my bets to that level. The first time I was playing on a table with 20X odds. And I made it up to 100 odds on the 9.
I do have a question though. And I think I already know the answer. When that come out 7 came, and all my odds were returned, when the next point is established and come bets are made again, should I start over at 5/25 and rebuild them… or do you go back with 15/75? I went back with 5/25, and kept one working all the time… only got up on 4 numbers with a couple repeaters before the final 7 came. But I was quite happy with the roll. And I was wiped out, mentally and emotionally when it was over. Who would have thought throwing dice could be so intense. But I’m loving every minute of it.
Thanks for all the help.

The only time I could not take more in odds was on a cruise ship that had 2X odds. You should be able to take $30/40/50 in odds on a $15 line bet at a 2X table. The pit boss knew what I was talking about. He was an experienced supervisor. But he said they did not allow that bet on the cruise ship.
They don’t really know it as pushing the house. You should ask if you can take $100 in odds on the 5 or 9 and $125 in odds on the 6 or 8 with a $15 line bet.
If they say no, then tell them, "$15 is a 3-unit bet and in Vegas and AC they allow you to take those kinds of odds on a 3-unit bet".
They might understand the term 3-unit bet. That is a craps term. Pushing the house is not.
