Hello, How many box numbers are suggested to play? I am strictly playing using pass/come with max odds. Since the odds are the same no matter how many numbers you play it probably dies not make a difference. Just thought I would ask.

Welcome to the board. The answer to your question is "it depends". Many of us play a version of The Big Skinny (TBS). There are many posts in this forum about the specifics but the basics of the TBS is start with a Pass Line with Odds and 2 come bets with odds. The amount of odds is dependent on your bankroll but the more in odds the better. When to spread to other numbers is personal preference. My wife and I play a very conservative version. We stay with the initial 3 bets until we have had 3 paydays. Obviously, if one of the come bets is hit we replace it but we don’t spread to a 4th number until we have 3 paydays. As soon as we have collected 5 paydays, we spread to a 5th number and at 6 hits and beyond, we keep a come bet out at all times.
From the 8th hit on, if we are max odds we place the number that was just hit, if we are not at max, we increase odds with every off and on until we are at max.
The original version of TBS requires a spread to 4 numbers after 1 hit, 5 numbers after 2 hits and 6 numbers at 3 hits. That was a bit too aggressive for our taste and our 401g so we toned it down.
Also, we only do this for ourselves and other known GTC’ers. And for them, we 5 count (sometimes we cheat on that a bit depending on who it is and how their dice look) but for everyone else, we 5 count and place 1 come bet usually with single or double odds but no more. At 3 hits we will spread to 2 and then begin increasing odds until at max. That doesn’t happen very often to say the least.
Again, welcome to the board. Hope to see you. Be sure to search for posts on The Big Skinny. There are many and all are full of great information.

IMHO, you should collect something before you increase your exposure.
I love that you are a come bettor. Nice job!

We continue to play and never never have more than a combination 2 bets on the table more than the number of wins in the rack. Usually we have 1 wager on the table more than wins in the chip rail. Once we have 4 wins in the chip rail it is "pedal to the metal" with a come bet on every roll of the dice. We get a little more aggressive at this point. Remember each win gives us a pay day more than the amount bet.
Remember what No Field Five says—we want to lose less so that we can win more!!!
We know there is a lot of advice out there on the internet that you should place bet because with come betting you have to roll a number twice to put a win in the chip rail. BALONEY. That is very short sighted and as a GTC advantage player you are in it for the long run. If you should place all numbers from the get go, a couple of short rolls (and they will happen) you are in a big hole where you can’t get out.
We are so glad you are pass line come betting.
Hope to see you soon in the casino.
