Just saw Dom’s May/2016 YouTube defence of the hardway set
as the best way to avoid the seven.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rzt3op8wUOc
Would he be more convincing with a longer video to cover more
and various flips of the dice other than his very selective and
restrictive chosen flips in his dissertation?
And it may be that the hardway set needs an expert throw to go
with it to avoid the seven, and Dom has this expertise.
Maybe that difference in Dom’s expert throw and mine explains
my experience of coming up with the seven so easily?
So if using the hardways set requires avoiding the double pitch,
does any on this forum know how to consciously avoid it?
What do you think?

I will set up with hard ways and turn a die. Throwing for fours and tens, six and eights, five and nines. With regular practice and record keeping you should have an idea what to expect in the casino. There should be no mistory. If it isn’t working then it is probably a shitty table or old dice.
Your focus when throwing in the casino has to be 100 percent. When I am eyeing my landing zone, all I see is a wall of bodies. No heads. I don’t take my eyes off the landing.
I just took a break from throwing dice to write this. I hope it helps but it’s just my opinion. I do believe that bad tables , dice or atmosphere will ruin a good time at the table. Just walk away. In Vegas, cross the street and go to another casino.

You can do it yourself. Take 2 pairs of dice and you will see the you will get more 7’s using any other set with one turn of the dice.
There some are going again in changing sets or flipping a die. It is never the set people – it is the grip that is off! And because we can not be perfect with every throw, you all should use the hardway set.
You got to believe that each of GTC instructors have used all the sets from time to time in the early stages. We were all looking for the magic bullet. We have tried it all and I can tell you that ALL the GTC instructors who ALL have a great throw will use the hardway set 98% of the time and some it is 100% of the time.
There are some that just want to know what time it is and then there are some that want to know how the clock works. The time is ALWAYS USE THE HARDWAY SET. How the clock works – get those two pairs of dice and convince and prove it to yourself.
Table types, new or old dice, all that junk has nothing to do with avoiding the 7 or if you should or should not use the hardway set.

I threw the hard ways this afternoon and found that all is well. I have been really focused on everything I learned at the January Primer. I completely forgot to revisit the hard ways. Stuck in my old habits.
My toss has really improved. Although I had been throwing dice for over a year and watching the Youtube video shorts before taking the Primer, I knew signing up that if I learned only a couple of things it would be worth the time and money. I wasn’t throwing hard ways but my game improved after the class right away. I payed off my whole trip before leaving Vegas. So if anyone has doubts just listen, focus and practice, practice, practice.

I read on the internet that I could really benefit from a cross 6’s set! 😆
IMHO, there are a handful of people in the world who can change a set and do something specific. I AM NOT one of them! HARDWAYS ROCK!

"Cotton Lob" wrote: The first year throwing dice for me was more in tune similar of a kitten playing with a ball of yarn. You will be happy to know that I threw out the notes for twelve months of dice rolls for every combination. I considered building a big fire out in the pasture to burn them. Just too much snow out there and it involved some manual labor so off to the dump instead. See you in Henderson in the fall.
Sounds like a plan! And while you are at it, put in all those craps books from those other authors. 😀

Protect your children and grand children from the internet. It is full of Craps nonsense.
