My Wife and I again took a cruise to Bahamas for Thanksgiving week. We have been doing cruises over Thanksgiving week for several years. I like playing Craps on the ships. Normally, when we arrived at Nassau, we would take a taxi over to Atlantis and play there. Those of you who have played at Atlantis know the tables. The tabes are normally very crowded, especially when there are multiple cruise ships in port at the same time.
We have been seeing commercials on TV for the new Baha Mar resort. It looked nice and it has a Casino. I looked at their website and it says the Casino is over 100,000 sqft with 1,100 new slots and 190 table games. It was probably a 20 minute taxi ride from the ship. We were awe struck when we got inside! The overal opulence, size and beauty reminded both of us of Bellagio in Las Vegas. Everything looked new. It opened last year but looked like it opened that day. The shops which were on the edges of the Casino floor were what you would expect: Cartier, Tiffany, Rolex, etc. They have multiple Craps Tables around the Casino floor, so they are not just in one spot. The Casino was quiet when we were there and they had 2 tables open and both were $15. I shot at a table for about an hour. At one time there were 2 other guys playing but I had the table to myself most of the time. I cannot say enough about the Dealers and Crew. They were fantastic. After my first session we had lunch in a great Noodle House just off the Casino. The food was great! I went to the second table to play. They had only one side open and it was full, so I want back to the first table again. I shot there for probably another 45 minutes and had a great time. We are seriously considering going to Baha Mar on our own over a long weekend. We were so impressed and truly enjoyed ourselves.
If you have a chance, to visit Baha Mar. You will be glad you did.
