Trip Report – Cruise and Bahamas

Spread the love

Did a weekend cruise out of Miami last weekend. Overall, happy with results. Had on disastrous day, but net up on all others. Of note, ALWAYS bring all dice options with you regardless of what you think. Of the 5 cruises I’ve done on this line, they’ve always used the birdseye dice up until this one. This time it was green, much lighter weight, and I didn’t have them with me. Oh well, Dice were looking good once I got my fingers fixed underneath. My rolls were consistently hitting the 15 mark, but couldn’t get over 16 together the entire time onboard.

On Sunday, we were in Nassau and hit the newest resort and really liked the tables. My friend shot SR and is an untrained (other than my coaching and watching specific GTC videos), but we’ve played together numerous times. He believes and practices and does very well at times shooting right handed at SR. Anyway, we opened the table and both came out of the gate with great rolls, mine the longest of the trip in the mid-20’s. Both rolls had my 6/8 both up over 100 meaning they hit a good number of times. The crews and floor persons were great and loved our tokes for all. We left there as we’d arranged to meet up with Midnight at around 11:30. Unfortunately, as I started texting him as we left, my cell service suddenly stopped working and my texts were reporting as not delivered after 20 minutes of trying. I played some 3-card near the craps table in case he wandered over before he got my text, and more than covered my chip collection chips I pocketed, then went around trying to get reception. After an hour and a half of trying, we ended up leaving. As we approached the port, my service returned and left him a voicemail and texts with apologies. It really sucked not getting to meet up and if not shoot, at least catch up a little and introduce him to my friend.

Oh well, perhaps up in CT next month as we both head to Boston for our next cruise with our brides. I’ll bring all dice options with me this time!

Midnight, looks like you had a great time with the family.

Hard nine—you are having way too much fun. Cruises can really be a lot of fun. Get your friend to come to a class. He would love it and make the cost of the trip back in no time. We both hope to run into you before the year is out.
