Recent Trips Using Smart Craps Optimal Sets

Spread the love

I recently started using the optimal dice sets from Smart Craps. I was getting very encouraging results on my practice rig at home, so I made 3 casino trips using the optimal sets from Smart Craps. To summarize, 7 sessions were played over the course of the 3 trips, winning 5 sessions and losing 2 sessions. The bets were pass line and 1 come bet exclusively with 2x odds basically (the table mins varied from $5 to $15, so the odds were varied to maintain a spread of about $60). I came home a winner on all 3 trips – winning a total of 6x the spread of $60. Not a lot of money by any means , but quite refreshing, since these trips were preceded by 4 losing sessions back to back on a previous trip. One of the losing sessions was on bouncy tables – one of which was traditional bounce or better 3 weeks earlier. The bouncy table layout was just replaced with microfiber. Needless to say, I didn’t waste any more money on that table. Later that evening, I waited about 1 to 2 hrs. for a table at SL1 that I had heard was low bounce ( I only play from SL1 or I don’t play). The only time I had the dice, I rolled and rolled using the Smart Craps dice sets on pass line and 1 come bet. The number of rolls was not counted in that hand but probably around 30 or so. In that 1 hand I won 5x my spread and I colored-up and went home a winner, more than making up for the earlier losses.
Lessons learned:
(1) Smart Craps dice sets really work as long as I bet into my edge.
(2) Don’t play on bouncy tables where my edge is not good enough to overcome the randomness resulting from the bounce.
(3) Tipping the crew goes a long way in preventing casino heat.
A side note on 1 winning session: the only hand I rolled on that table (which was a near perfect bounce – the best I have ever seen), I hit the ATS. I never bet the ATS (the house advantage is way too high for my edge), but a guy at SR1 did bet the ATS. Because he won over $1500, he tipped me $50. That’s a first!

bminus1,
It sometimes takes a long time for people to become believers in what we preach. It feels good when we see people succeed.
Smart craps is a great tool and I’m glad that you are making use of it.

getagrip and BTK:
Thanks for the encouragement. I must take this opportunity to praise the GTC teaching. I read GTC articles and books (mostly ‘Casino Craps, Shoot to Win’) and watch GTC videos repeatedly. They are a wealth of information and experience expressed simply and backed by explanations of the mechanics, physics and math. Thank you again, GTC team – you are greatly valued.

What a great report. It so satisfying to Rose and Doc when someone does what we teach—PREACH? 🙂 Discipline is the name of the game. Thanks for sharing and we hope others will learn from your experience.

By the way what is the set that Smart Craps suggested that you use? Just curious.

Doc:
The sets that were recommended were emailed to Mr. Dom at his request. Smart craps recommended 4 sets; 1 for come out, and a different set for each point number pairs 6/8, 5/9 and 4/10. If you wish, the sets can be emailed to you.

Great report and we thank you for your testimonial on our teachings!

One thing – a win is a win no matter how small. Those were huge wins considering your spread.

Great job!
Dom
