Federal Law Restricting Sports Betting Struck Down

Spread the love

The U.S. Supreme Court, 14 May 2018, handed down its decision that the federal ban from the 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act was an unconstitutional overreach into States’ rights. This was a timely decision, since 55% of Americans agreed that it was time to end the federal ban on sports betting.

As should have been, it is now up to individual states and tribal “nations” to decide what sports betting to offer.
