I need some insight on how to correct double pitching. I am double pitching around 10% of my throws. I randomly check my fingers when I grip the dice to make sure they are aligned and my grip is loose. I went for a live session today and all my 7’s were double pitches. I had 3 really bad hands and 1 decent (compared to my other 3) of 12 rolls, hitting a few of my come bets. If i can reduce this double pitching, my rolls could be epic. Thanks

To add one more thing, we say that a double pitch 7 is a good 7 because you are throwing the dice on axis if you are using the hardway set which I hope you are. What you don’t want to see is 6/1

A simple adjustment like this can make all the difference in the world.

Wow!! So as soon as I came home from work, I went to my practice table and picked up the dice and looked at my thumb position. I moved it oh so slightly to the left and threw the dice. It felt good…. My first throw was 9 – the pesky 6/1 showed up on a bad weak toss. My second toss, I threw 24 times before I double pitched. That is 33 rolls with only double pitching once. I love it. I wanted to toss more to see if I could keep it up but I need to make dinner. 🙂 Looks like I will be deleting my first 500 rolls and starting over with this new found knowledge of my thumb. Thanks to everyone!
