A little story….. Long ago (1995), I met a guy at an a Capella singing school in Abilene, TX. We were forced to room together 😀 . But during the week, we developed a friendship that lasts through today. We got together for several things like Roller Coasters and such, and on one of these trips, we got together outside of one of the cities with coasters and stayed at a riverboat in MO. I watched him play craps and really did find the game intriguing if not intimidating. OK, it was intimidating too. I started studying the game and playing electronically so that I understood the way he played and other options.
Before I could actually play, he went and moved to Hawaii to become a Dive Instructor after learning and honing the skill in the scuba diving capital of the US; Tulsa OK. I learned that too, but we were never able to play craps together after I’d started back in 2009. Fast forward to fall of 2017, and he finally gets his kiester moved back to the mainland. This past weekend, Scooter and I headed to Vegas and he drove up from Yuma to meet us, and we FINALLY got to shoot together and catch up. We had a blast. I’ve introduced him to GTC and he gets it, likes what he sees, and hopefully I’ll get him to an open house in the next few Vegas sessions.
Anyway, DiceDiver is now a member of this forum, so please welcome my dear friend, Jeff!

I have heard that back in the day, pre-GTC, there were four craps players known as the Four Horsemen of Atlantic City. If I heard correctly, Dom was one of the four.
Perhaps we can form a new craps player group, the Four Troubadours of GTC. I’m not aware of any casino rules against singing while throwing.
Welcome, DiceDiver. I look forward to meeting you at the classes and at the table.
We’ll need a fourth for the Four Troubadours of GTC. Any volunteers? Dom, Doc, NoFieldFive?

Preacher, too funny, but I like the sound of it! Since it’s worship leading at church, we’ll have to come up with something interesting, maybe a little Peace in the Valley, DiceDiver kills that one!

From the Wisconsin 6 Shooters welcome aboard to the GTC journey, where the learning never ends. Today is a good day to throw dice. Welcome!

Rather than asking the stick to pass you the dice with 5’s up, you should learn to set the dice quickly. It will draw less attention to you and make you a better player.
I remember a time when the stick was trying to do me a favor. I knew her from having played at her table many times. She would try to roll the dice with the stick to pass me the 5’s on top. But it took her a long time to do it.
I let her do it a few times but it seemed to take forever to get the dice.
Finally, I grabbed the dice from her stick and set them myself in 1 second. The boxman (I knew him as well) laughed and told the stick to just pass me the dice because I took less time setting them than she did and I was better at it.
Here is a post I wrote that is in the wisdom pages that could help you with learning to do it.

Nice read on your travels with craps!
I just can’t let a few things go though 🙂 Stay away from placing the 6/8 or heaven forbid, placing the 5/9.Next what you said from shooting from any position on the table. You want to shoot from your preferred spot and if that is not available, you just don’t play
welcome
