Craps

The Push Shot

Spread the love

Hi everyone happy to be on this fine forum. From SL1 I use the standard 3 finger OH from the deck with some rotation. In the past I have also used a " push shot " from the same SL1 with no spin landing 4" or so inches from the BR. Anybody have success with this toss? Set? Hardway set mostly.

Hello David and welcome to the board!

Actually no. That shot goes against all the principles of physics of a moving projectile in the air and Golden Touch is all about the physics and math of the game of craps. When you say you have had success using t shot, have you actually recorded at least 5000 rolls and calculated you SRR to see if you do actually have an edge using it?

To be honest Don no. Found it was inconsistent- great one session- short hands other times.i guess that is the key have a toss with validation. Got some work to do it seems!

David, do the work and record some rolls to check your SRR. Think you will find using the GTC principles we teach in class will make you a believer.

Hi David. Yes, as you have discovered, the difficulty with any other shot of this type is making it repeatable. As NFF would say," There are too many moving parts." As our bodies fatigue on a longer roll, small inconsistencies creep in and we end up with a bunch of shorter rolls that look good but we can’t hold it together for the long ones. It has to look almost effortless. Learning to master that is of course, not effortless.
