Here are a couple of suggestions. It is an easy game. You and each player at your table makes 3 bets in the three circles in front of you. The dealer has three cards down. Each player is dealt 2 cards. Each player will play his/her 2 cards AND the dealer’s 3 community cards to make a 5 card poker hand. Each player uses the dealer community cards—kinda like Texas Holder in the poker room.

You look at your two cards to determine if you want to continue to play. If you do not want to play your 1st bet, you can indicate to the dealer to push that bet to you. You are still playing the other 2 bets. If you like your 3 cards and you want to play bet # one you let the dealer know and "LET IT RIDE" and the dealer will push your bet to you. Hence the name of the game. The bet # 1 stays in place and is now at risk.

Next the dealer will turn over one of his cards and you do the same thing. If that card improves your hand you can "let it ride." Or if it does not you can have the dealer push the 2nd bet back to you.

Two of the three bets have had a decision made–either you have had it returned to you or you "let it ride."

Now you must play the 3rd bet by tucking the corner of your cards under that 3rd bet. This 3rd bet is always at risk.

The dealer will turn over his 3rd card and if you make a decent hand you win–if not you will lose the 3rd bet and any of the first 2 bets that you "let it ride."

You do not have to beat the dealer. If you make a decent hand you win. In other works you have to beat the probability of making a good poker hand.

I have not played Let It Ride in a long time and believe that the minimum hand to win is a pair of 10’s but it could be a pair of Jacks–it pays even money. You will win more with 2 pair, 3 of a kind, etc with each higher ranking poker paying you more. Or course a royal flush pays the most.

To verify what I have written to go the web site The Wizard of Odds.com.

Best I can remember Let It Ride does have a pretty high house vig in the neighborhood of 3 to 4 percent.

A tournament should be fun.

Let us know how you do.

Good Luck

In tournament play your best strategy is to play conservatively in the beginning. Hope the other players go for it and lose their money.

In the last 5 hands, determine who you need to beat and bet accordingly. In other words, bet aggressively if you need to beat other players.

It is best if you are playing behind the players who are ahead of you in money. That way you can decide what you need to bet to beat them.

There were 2 sessions were you got 5,000 to play with . High 70 people went to semi_ finals .
Did not look at the end game .
It was fun tho .With a lot of first time players .
