Hi all
I say in class that betting into your edge is just as important – maybe MORE important than actually throwing the dice. So how many of you are actually calculating your edge and betting into it?
Remember there are three things you need to do to beat this game of craps:
1. Learn the GTC throw
2. Calculate your edge
3. Bet into that edge – that is to not make a bet that has a greater house edge than what you have
If you have a 6.23 SRR after at least 5000 rolls a place bet on the 6/8 or better yet, using comebets is what you want to do. At 6.23 you have an edge over the casinos on those bets.
So ask yourself this – are you betting into your edge? If not you are LOSING!

I see so many charting the numbers it is killing me, so I ask this of you that are have you st there and charted 3500 throws so you can get a true random?
The only way to beat the game is to get an advantage throw.
If you believe that you can chart numbers without an advantage throw and find a trend then go play keno the pay out is much greater and you can find a trend there to right, or are you going to tell me that keno is a random game, but dice is to unless you have an advantage throw.
Those who do the best have the most fun.
For me fun is all about sushi and great pizza or maybe a great steak or a burger, and conversation. The tables are all about business.

The better you get the more control you have, the more control you have the more you should repeat the same numbers over and over.

I understand that but I thought there was a table that showed exactly what my edge is over the house at various srr’s. I am a come bettor but as my SRR gets higher, I wonder if it might make sense to place 6/8 and/or buy 4/10 when vig is paid on wins only as well as come bets. In other words, with a higher SRR might it make sense to get money out a bit quicker than I presently do? I know what is taught and I play just that way; a Pass Line with odds (I typically play $5 tables so I do 5/25 on line/odds) and 2 come bets initially, after 3 hits, go to a 3rd CB and after 5 hits go to a 4th. From hit 6 on, I keep a come bet out at all times and increase my odds bet with each hit.
Just thinking that if my srr approaches 8, maybe placing/buying from the beginning would be more profitable over the long run. I realize the short rolls will kill you with more money out there but the longer rolls will make money faster. If we are playing with an SRR of 7 to 8 or above, I would think our house edge might make early betting a good idea.
Understanding the math, though, it might be better to keep doing what I do but put more odds out. Most of the tables I play are 10X odds tables.

I am looking at my "Cutting Edge Craps" book and starting in Chapter 2 page 7 there is a chart. Not sure if this is what you are looking for but check it out if you have that book. Sorry to those that don’t own this book but I do not feel comfortable in paraphrasing in case I interpret incorrectly and I do not know how to enter the chart here in totality. Great information in this book if you don’t have it. It is one I refer to often. Some of the things I can’t do yet but I like the dice theory anyway. Jawbones, hope this helps you out.

Looks like I will need to make a last minute Christmas stop by Amazon and get this one the way to me.
