Craps

Vegas-this week

Spread the love

Went to Vegas for some CPA continuing Education and stayed an extra day just for gambling. Sally was along just for the gambling.

Summary was the gambling was losing for me, but over all was a winner for us as Sally hit two royals playing on nickel VP games and won more than I lost.

We drove over the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We drove over from Los Angeles on Sunday morning in an uneventful trip for us. The traffic leaving Vegas was very heavy and I understand it was stop and go for the first 25 miles out of Vegas for several hours.

We stopped at the casino going in to Vegas and there was a $5 and $10 table open. The $5 was fairly full but there was only one other person at the $10 table where I chose to play from SR1.

The other shooter had a roll of 18 that put me up. I had a roll of five making one point and lost a low double digit amount. The other shooter double his earlier roll and I was up almost equal to my buy in. I doubled my initial roll with a roll of 10 again making one point. The other shooter had checked out and two others had come to the table but I didn’t get down on their short rolls. Left with 50% more than my buy in.

We were staying off strip and checked in. Played and had rolls of 6, 8,2, and 4 with a net mid double digit loss on my roll but over four times my loss on other shooter who qualified before I bet on them.

Took a break, Went back to the tables and had two rolls of 20 followed by rolls of point seven and 9. Made in the teens on my rolls but lost six times what I made on other qualified shooters. Over gave back what I had won at the first casino and was down less than $100.

The casino I was staying at has the Repeater bi and my winnings included rolling four 4s before the first sever in the roll for a win of $65. That was only a net winning of $15 since I was betting $10 on this bet on five of my rolls.

Monday morning I walked by $5 table at the strip casino on my way to my CEU. Rolled four times with rolls of 7, 2,3, and four and lost almost $200 including 4 bets of $4 on the ATS on each of my rolls.

More to follow later

ACPA,

Curious if you think you are up or down for the year 2016? I would guess most years you are up. I am actually up this year but it doesn’t always shake out that way! As always, thanks for the trip reports! Keep them coming. 🙂

I am slightly down myself these year, but combined with Sally’s VP play we are slightly up for the year.
