How do you guys handle slumps? September was great but I can’t do any thing right in October? Any tips would be appreciated.

Just a few thoughts I would review for myself if I was in a slump. Maybe the thoughts will be of help to you.

(1) back to the practice rig for some really focused practice. See if I can spot any bad habits creeping in to my toss.

(2) review my betting strategy and discipline points to make sure I am not becoming sloppy or complacent or taking any unwarranted chances just because things have been going well.

(3) remind myself that variance is still a big part of Craps. Dice influencer or not

(4) stay away from the casinos for a few weeks or more until I am sure I am back on track with all above points and that my confidence level is solid.

Good luck and hope things turn around for you very soon! 🙂

All the things that GetaGrip said are on the right track. We might add that if there is anyone near your home that you get together and have him/her take a look. Rose and Doc are lucky we are able to help each other every day if necessary. Hang in there and do some self analysis of your throw and betting, this will be of great help.

Last of all come to a GTC class weekend and we will be more that happy to help you. In any event a few small adjustments may be all you need. Remember the very best golfers on the PGA tour have coaches working with them on a weekly basis. We are no different.

which primer class did you take?

When I took the class they told me that the learning curve would sore then plummet then slowly work its way back, also they said to stay out of the casino until I hade minimum 5000 throws in practice after the class and preferably 10000, to achieve a consistent throw with proven results.

Can you hit the bowl with both dice 65 percent of the time if you can not why are you at the casino?

Have you charted your results in practice proving out you have the goods to be at the table?

I took the June 2016 class in Vegas. I had two years of practice before that.

I logged over 20k rolls since I started back in March 2014 (that when I bought the practice rig).

Good news. It appears I lost my arc. I’m forcing myself to lob the dice like hand grenades with a 45 degree arc. I drew a 7 inch square box centered against the back wall. The landing target is just inside the line and the goal is to have both dice rest in the box after hitting the back wall. That is very difficult to do.

Since I started doing this, I’m starting to have winning practice sessions again and my stats are improving.

Thanks for the advice.

Be very carful all that time practicing before the class could of ingrained bad habits.

Use your notes daily to practice.

NO throws before the class count I am sure that they changed several things that you did not no you were doing wrong so never count the wrong time you get a do over.

Have fun.

Some good advice from your fellow players. As Dom says in every class, " We are .300 hitters". Even the best hitters is baseball have slumps. Don’t let it get into your head. Review your fundamentals and consider some of the advice given above. 😉

Thanks for the tips. I made two changes and my last two 5 shooter sessions were 60 rolls each. 😀 😀

1. I started treating the dice like my girl friend, not my wife (gentle throws).
2. Higher arc. Lob them in like hand grenades.

I’ll continue doing this and hope the great results continue.
