Obscenely long roll

Spread the love

Witnessed in Biloxi recently a guy who seemed to be a newbie
flinging the dice from stick-left hook.
His wife or girlfriend was too shy to throw so he braved it.
He was constantly betting $5 passline with $10 odds, every time.
I did not bet on his throws. He boringly threw over TWELVE passes!
I lost count.

If I threw that may passes that would have been my life’s record.
Of course I’m good at throwing sevens.

any given Sunday! Far end of the bell curve, but on it! Fun to watch and get in with a min bet. I remember a guy in AC in March threw like that from the left Base hook, and he threw for well over 30 minutes and I was able to grab $180 with small bets.

I dont know how Pat threw but it was not the GTC way and she STILL holds the record .Records are made and broke .
I think some on this site would have long rolls if the table was full and the bets were paid slow . But then again most like tables with few players and good crews with fast action .
Good Rolling. 😀 😀

I don’t care who is throwing, a long roll is fun to watch. I have been on many a randies roll ( after the 5 count) that lasted through several stick changes. A few times it saved what would have been a losing night.

Do I expect it to happen? Of course not, but when it happens, why not enjoy it. After all "Winning is the most fun".

On random rollers Rose and Doc always make (if we don’t take a long bathroom break even if we don’t need it) a minimum come bet with $10 odds on random rollers. We think since we are betting something on almost all players we blend into what other players are doing. We want to be a part of the table group. Yes we lose a little but the 5 count is a real $$$ saver. As Finesse says we want to make money on ourselves. And yes on rare occasions we will make some money on these random roller’s crazy rolls. Have make hundreds of dollars from time to time but these are rare occasions. When we don’t make a bet on the chicken feeder because he/she not make the five count, the five count more than offsets these rare long random rolls. Doc tracks this stuff.

We have seen some players (many who have taken the course) bet $160 across on each and every player with a max press on the first hit. He may get 3 to 5 paydays (each on a different number) but since he is pressing each payday he loses money—big time. I asked why he did this and he simply said "sometimes it works." Go figure.

REMEMBER WE ARE IN THIS FOR THE LONG RUN.

Spot on Doc!
Yesterday, I’m playing next to a guy I’ve been at the tables with a number of times, so we’re friendly and we all talk it up with the crew. He sees me bet ATS on myself but no one else, and he starts razzing me about it…. "You know how often that hits? I hit the tall two times yesterday! Come on man, you gotta bet those!" This coming from a guy who is betting a $10 6/8….. $10!!!! I want to say, "How about making your 6/8 proper before you tell me about betting the ATS!" "Also ( I want to say), let’s talk about your hop bets…. 10/4, 5/4 hop…. 15:1 but you bet them 20 odd times before they hit!!!!!"

OK, I’m calm now….. BUT THEN HE STARTS TALKING ABOUT PATTERNS!!! A buddy of his and I start rolling on the floor! What a blast playing with those folks… it really is, if you can be friendly, and they don’t bother you during your own roll, it’s part of what makes this social game so fun!

Still ROFLMAO,

Don
