Craps

My first session

Spread the love

I just finished the primer class yesterday but I promised myself I would wait until today to actually gamble. My body is still on EDT and I woke up at 4:00 AM Las Vegas time. I went down to the table and bought in for $400. I

My fist roll was a point-seven. Lost $40. I wasn’t warmed up yet. The seven was a "good" seven.

My second roll was better I rolls 13 times and hit four numbers (no points)

Between my second and third roll, someone taps me on my shoulder. I turned and there was this "valley girl." (Air head blonde) saying " I know you!". Really? I don’t recognized you.

Her: "You lived in CA".
Me: No, only been there once. Never lived there.
Her: "I’m 47 years old, worked the last 18 years at Disney World and I know you were there.
Me: Sorry! I’m from Michigan, just visiting.

That ended the conversation. She buys in for $40 just as I’m getting the dice. She bets $10 on the pass line, and $20 on all the hardways.
I establish 9 as the point. She squeals, "Oh! Goodie! Nine’s my favorite number. Five is my second favorite. She took $10 odds on the nine.

I’m thinking to myself, "Sounds right, the numbers are odd, just like you".

I rolled a hard 6. She starts squealing and is really excited now and and parlays it.
I rolled a hard 10. She repeats the previous scene. By now the whole table is looking at her.
Three rolls later I hit the hard 4. Here we go again.
She now has three parlayed hard ways and is busting at the seams.

I made the nine. She’s jumping up and down again but not to the same extent as before.

I rolled a hard six for my new point. She went nuts when the dealer pushed $450 towards her, She’s hugging me, squealing in my ear, and really causing a scene. She took the remaining $50 down and replaced with a $5 bet.

I sevened-out on the next roll. I’m not used to being mauled. The class didn’t cover that. 😀

She proceeded to lost the money and finally left. I was the only person on my side of the table. After she was out of ear shot I whispered to the dealer, "At least she didn’t leave any bruises." He almost lost it.

My last two rolls were uneventful and I colored up after my last point-7.

I had seven green chips in my shirt pocket which means I save $175 on shooters who didn’t make the five count.

I finished the session up $15. A small win but still a win. 😀

For you place betters, here a tip. Since the casino only takes the vig after a winning buy bet. If you buy the five or nine for $30 and win it. You’ll get $43 instead of $42. It’s only $1 but it’s free money.
