While in AC in late October for the GTC class, Doc decided to do a little study on the 5 count on random rollers and GTC’ers. The system that he used was one that is discussed in class over the past few years. When you go to the table, buy in as usual and use the 5 count on everyone. When a roller does not make the 5 count put a $25 chip in your pocket. I use a green chip since my bets on chicken feeders is usually a $10 with $10 in odds—or $20 at risk. My initial spread on myself and other GTC players (after the 5 count on other GTC rollers) is between $100 and $125 depending on max odds by the individual casino. This puts me under the 25% range on those random rollers slinging the dice down the table.
First session was a short one—I had four $25 chips in my pocket when I cashed in.
Second session was little longer —I had six $25 chips in my pocket.
Third session—I had eight $25 chips in my pocket
Fourth session—I had six $25 chips in my pocket
Fifth session—I had two $25 chips in my pocket–a very short session
Bottom line I had a combined total of 26 "extra" chips after I colored up from the 5 sessions over most of 2 days. Assuming $20 ($10 come bet with $10 in odds) this gives a combined total of a little over $500 that I would have otherwise lost.
So in my very brief unscientific test—the answer is: YES THE 5 COUNT DOES WORK!!!!!
Did some of the chicken feeders make it through the 5 count and I lost the $20—of course. But I also had one chicken feeder hit my number several times and I won $50 on him which offset but did not come close to covering the $20 loss when the random roller had a quick 7 out.
If you haven’t tried this experiment, give it a try and see how you like it!

Anytime you bet less you will lose less most times and at times that includes betting on myself and
team.
I used to use the dowey donts in the 5 count system for 2 years…. it worked to well so I quit using it (laughing)
Over the past 5 years and particularly the past 6 months I found a couple of things. First dice talk, second, if
you have spent hundreds of hours practicing your roll, you better listen.
I add this to your comment about the 5 count because both should help you keep more of your money. The
five count works as you indicated, the other is this……..
If you have a decent shot and you have recorded your data your going to get certain results more than others
with certain dice sets. When I play or when I play with my team I know which set I am using and I watch which set
they are using. If I get certain numbers with certain sets I know my throw is on so I can bet accordingly, when I see
the same from them, I bet accordingly. When I am not getting those results on my toss I cut back my bets
and the same on them until they or I do.
The reason for GTC and our toss is to beat the odds, the dice will tell you if you are doing that. The funny
thing about dice is they don’t lie, and they don’t kid you.
The five count works and you can see that, and the dice will tell you when your shot is working.

Like would you have ever won the come bet by either a 7 being rolled or your come bet hitting ? Also you may have won your come bet then won again on a come out 7 for two fast wins .
Just some food for thought .
I think putting that green chip in my pocket would deplete my bank roll in rack vary fast .Before I even get to roll at times .It is strange how when I get to a table and look at how many players there are before I get a turn it changes real fast . Not to the good tho .Like at times it is two to my turn then after I bye in and look back it is 5 or 6 till my turn .
Some like to shoot from the end of table and move over when others leave . Then their old spot gets taken over and more players till I get to shoot . 😥
That is if I bye in when the dice are coming my way at other end of table . It is worse if they are on my end of table when I bye in .
It seems that spots open up after the roller has a bad roll or a great one .Then gets filled fast at times .
I do bet on the player before me since have been told no action before no roll .
I have had wife come to table and she asked how many till you roll and I say two then look back to find that two turned into five just that fast .
I try to play on short tables WHICH HELPS A LITTLE .Fewer players .
How many times did you win on your come bet after the five count .Either as a come out 7 or a come bet win .
You could also put every come bet win in your pocket if it is from a 7 .Like the odds win so not to take away from your rack .

It will work out good if you bye in for more .
Also if you win on your come bets that you make and put the winning only in your pocket I could see that may help in long run .
Like the dealers do lock up your wins .
I still play toooooo long and keep it all in rack till I am tooooo tired to play .I need to work on that MORE .I have changed my betting on others since taking class tho .Which has saved me a lot .
Hope to hear how it works out for you .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

Some dealers might say you are RAT holing them .
I don’t get much heat about not betting on others .I think that has to be about being a small roller .With my bye in they cant expect a lot of action .
So did you take that money out of your pocket or turn it in at the cage ?
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

I cash in the chips in my pocket at the cage.
The casinos really don’t track $5 and $25 chips. They do track the higher dollar amount chips. Black, purple, pumpkin and higher are tracked very carefully. If $25 chips are a little high, use $5 or $1 chips. Doesn’t matter what color of chips you use, just the number of chips. It is interesting to find out exactly how much you have saved by counting the number of chips in your pocket and multiply times the amount of your minimum bet on chicken feeders. It’s amazing the amount you will save. So any color chip will do. I like to use $25 chips as that is about the average amount I bet on random rollers.
After my big roll in AC last month, I was so excited that I forgot about the chips in my pocket until I got to the room and was getting ready for bed for the night. No problem, as the casino cage is always open the next morning.

I understand the idea behind this but I guess you did not get what I was getting at .You and others may be able to get passed 7 or more rollers doing this but I for one could not .Unless I went to 5s or 1s to get the count . But I already realize that not betting on others saves some times .
If I do bet on others it is vary slow and little .
I mostly bet on the person before me and no others unless I like the way they roll .If the dice are going around fast I may not get a chance to bet on the person before me . That has happened before .
Some times I bet on DP rolls .It just seems that they do have a few good hands even tho they are trying for the 7 .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂
