Craps

Trip Report

Spread the love

Hi Folks,

Sparse postings on the AC seminar, makes me miss having been there even more.

I heard that Caesars as the best tables there? True??

Anyway, I am here is the South of France "cavorting" around as Alison calls it. After two weeks of no Craps due to the venues at which I was teaching/visiting (Bali, Amsterdam and Paris) — astonishing how I get withdrawal symptoms if I go a week without — I am finally in a place in which I can play. Not here in Nice but about a half-hour away in Monaco.

The Sun casino there has a table. It is a bit bouncy but not more than Mohegan. Took a bit to figure I needed to be SL1 and SL2 was just a bit too far. Only double odds so my betting was a bit off, being used to the 5x odds at home.

Only won €1100. Bought in for €2000 but never used more than the €25 chips to start. Much less than my usual.

The casino is small but there are a bunch here from some TV network thing in the South of the US so we had a ball.

As far as craps goes there is not much special but I can say that Nice is beautiful. Just like is seems in the movies.

Going again tonight so… 🙂

Update — Opps, in my pocket was an extra €500 note.

Turns out I bought in for €2000 rather than €2500 so I ended up €1600. More acceptable but should have been about 5x.

Not going back until Sunday… Occasionally I have to work. Annoying but… 🙂

Next stop, the Lake Como region. Staying on the Swiss side but probably will go to both casinos that have craps so I can file reports.

By the way, the casino at Campione has a table that is too bouncy to do much with. Even Alison said the dice seemed a lot more bouncy and had much more movement than at Monaco.

Lost a bit in Campione. A place to avoid.
