You ever have one of those days where you don’t throw well and almost everyone else makes the 5 count but no one hits your# before 7ing out?

Bound to happen but good do I hate it. Good thing I did so well in Vegas. 🙂

That’s why it’s called "gambling"

Sooner or later those misses become hits — sounds like "Battleship"

We have all experienced sessions like this.

The 5 count eliminates 57% of the shooters so you have to think how bad that session would be if you were betting on all of the shooters.

You will also have sessions where many shooters 7-out on roll 6. When I am playing next to Dom and we put out our come bets on roll six I always turn to him and say " I’m thinking 6-1 and he will say hmmmm I’m thinking 5-2" and smile.

On the Wednesday evening before the Vegas class I played a session where many of my bets after the 5 count were winners and many of the shooters repeated that sixth number a few times before sevening out. It was a great session.

If you find that lots of shooters go down on roll 7 or eight then by all means use a 10 count or even better a 15 count. /;-)

The first step to winning more is losing less.

I find when a random roller is shooting I have a lot of trouble counting to five. I seem to get up around four, lose track of the count and have to start all over again. Since it happens almost every time I get to four, for some reason or other this seems to eliminate around 98.6% of the random shooters. Go figure.

I can’t take it anymore. What nonsense. Seven, eight or 15 count. Forgetting the count? My ass.

Basically there is one of two things to do with random rollers. Use the 5 count and then a minimum come bet with single odds or don’t bet on the randies at all. You instructors
should know better. There are new students after every class and some of them may be misled by your silly comments. Enough.

OMC,

Betting on CFers is a net losing bet, so if you can take it (standing at the table) why not use a 15 count?

Yes you may not get much in comps, but do you play for comps, or to win?

Think about it!

Re read your post and I agree a no bet could be an objective, but I think most won’t do that.

Anybody could tell that Skinny was joking. In fact, if the students paid attention in class they would recognize that Skinny understands numbers better than anybody else involved. Life is too short to take something so silly so seriously.

I am one of most and admit it .I some times do a 5 count that may end up being a 20 count . Then again I may do what the dealers call out like carney people do .The point is 6 place the 8 or the point is 5 place the 9 .I have 5 or 6 out there and some times I make 1 or 2 AND IF THE ROLL GOES ON FOR AWHILE i MAY GET MY MONEY BACK .Which is great .
I always think that the record may be broken again by a Cfer and if I happen to be there at least I may make my money back .Also with place bets I can take them down if the dice go off the table or any other reason that I may think of .Have done that many times .On 3rd hit will press .
If do a come bet never full odds .If the point is 4 or 10 I may place 6 or 8 then after 2nd. hit place the other . With 4 hit press . Then if pressed bet hits spread to the 5 and 9 .Never have gotten to were all 4 numbers were pressed so far .
If a roller rolls a 7 or 2,3 or more I stay clear of his roll .
Good Rolling . 🙂 🙂

I think Skinny has a mental block! I wish I had mental blocks like that, I’d end up with more in my pocket! 😆

I was playing yesterday with jesse and I must say the day was just like he said except for betting on CF’rs. I like to look at the shooters toss and if I don’t like it I forget about the count I just don’t bet on him.

I ended up making money only because I had 1 very good hand and 1 medium hand.

My opinion lay off of others, 5 count GTC players and work you betting wisely, take it easy early in a hand and build up when a profit is locked up.
Do not assume someone is going to have a big hand except for your self.

Heading back to our favorite conn. casino this evening to play with the Wed. night crew.

Billy’s and Skinny’s post were a farce and so was mine. Most of you don’t know me that well. I avoid randies like the plague and have stood at a table when they have had
15-40 rolls and didn’t bet a penny. Foolish maybe? If a roller has a decent toss sometimes after the 5 count I bet one come bet, usually catch the 7 but if not then do single
odds and wait it out.

Hello

Is there still a Wed night crew at the CT casinos?
Would love to drop in.

Thanks

Just think the RECORD is held by a randie . It was for over 4 hrs. but I bet you would have made more then one come bet on that roll.
Good Rolling. 😀 🙂
