The Lion Roars in Las Vegas… Again!

Spread the love

I had the pleasure of meeting The Lion and The Princess in Las Vegas, last weekend, to celebrate The Lion’s birthday. He can reply with the number if he wants…

I arrived very late Thursday night, so I went straight to bed. I had breakfast at "The French" place, where I was staying, and met The Lion and The Princess at "The Movie" place for coffee. We then went to "The Center Of It All" and played. No real good sessions to talk about. We went to "The French" place, then "The River" place off the Strip. Again not much happened. Saturday we had the very nice $5.99 breakfast at "The Movie" place, then we went back to "The Center Of It All" for some playing. The first couple of rounds saw rolls in the low teens again nothing really exciting.

A lady came to to the table saying her husband was playing Craps at the next table and wanted to know how to play. The Dealer started to show her. She bought in for $100 and the Dealer told her "… put $10.00 here…" which was the Fire Bet circle.

It was now The Lion’s turn to shoot. He made the first 3 points fairly quickly. Then he set the point at 8 again. It took longer to get the 8 the second time. Then he set the 4 up as the 5th point. He shot a little and BANG, 3-1, he hit the 4 as the 5th Fire Bet. Next, he set the 8 again, and made it in 4 rolls. Only the 10 separated us from the 6 point victory. The next toss was a 10! We were looking at the possibility of a 6 pointer. It took a few minutes when we all saw the dice show a 6-4. The Lion just hit the 6th Fire Bet point! The table went totally nuts. Screaming, yelling, hugging, crying, it was wonderful. After all settled down a bit, The Lion threw 5 more times and hit a 7. The Lion, The Princess and I all had $10 on the Fire Bet, and the Dealers were in for $3.00. Overall it was a 64 roll hand. This is by far and away the biggest win at a Craps table I have ever had.

Remember the lady who was learning while her husband played the next table? Well, after the 4th point was made, her husband came to the table and said they had to go. The Dealer told her she could not leave because she had a $10 Fire Bet. After it hit, she said they were going to use the Fire Bet winnings as a partial down payment on a house.

The Lion also roared with a 6-Point Fire Bet win last June when he was in Las Vegas for his birthday. That is 2 in 2 years. The 3 of us absolutely credited The Lion’s ability to shoot as well, under pressure, to the GTC training and hours and hours of practice. Does "this stuff" really work? You bet your rear end it does!

Congrats to The Lion on another fantastic roll!

Nice results including the lady, but I hate a dealer that is teaching a new player to bet that way.

In 2 years how many times have the casinos won the money spent on the fire bet .I think they are still a head of ALL that play .Even if the fire is made every day it is bet on more then they pay out or they would not let you bet it .
Glad that you had a great time and glad to hear that the fire winning are going for a down payment for that LUCKY Lady .Right time right place with some great people .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

Wow, what a great story. Lion and the Princess are a great team, but more important great people. We love to see them any time we are in a casino.

Thanks for posting. Hope to see you in the casino soon.

Thanks everyone — it was an awesome time

And, two days later a after my 6-pointer, we went to my favorite place off the strip, I hit a 5-point fire bet with $10 on it (52 rolls overall) — I actually had the 6th point set-up (the "4") but I did not hit it. I won an additional $650 on the $1300+ lay bet, plus the $2500 for the 5-point fire win. It COULD have been TWO 6-point fire bet hits in three days !!!

Overall, I had the following rolls — 64, 52, 40, and numerous 20+ rolls

But, on the bad end of things, I did have my share of "PSO’s" but that’s to be expected — and I just shake them off (make some adjustments to the shot, etc., — maybe even have another "Long Island Iced Tea" to relax the muscles/nerves)

The Princess also had TWO 4-point fire bets in which we won $250 each time — and Chevy did very well at the Mothership

But, it looks like I still have the "bragging rights" in my household

In any event, it’s always nice to leave with a win, shoot well, and make lots of money for fellow GTC friends/family

I’ll try to post a "trip report" sometime soon

Way to go Lion and Princess. You guys make a great team. Sorry I couldn’t make it out this time around. Too many wedding cakes. Lion, every time I see you toss I think of all the softball you pitched. Princess, you have a great toss as well. Good shooting!

Chevy You mean that the dealer did-en tell her about come bets ? Or all the prop bets .
Did she make any money on the other bets that she should have noticed that you guys were betting .
A lot of the dealers want you to bet the fire along with one for them .Even tho they know that it does not hit that often .
Great rolling .Looks like you guys were tipping .Since there was 3 up for the dealers .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂
