Just spent 3/12-3/16 in Vegas, played almost all off strip. One of the Boyd properties had given us comp rooms, two nights for each of us including the weekend. We each had $40 of free slot place and one $10 table game match play.
Uneventful drive over from LA but it is still a 5 hour drive for us.
Stopped at the casino just south of Vegas on the way in, I rolled twice with rolls of 12 and 4 and only made one point on the first roll. Lost a little to start the trip, but Sally was up slightly on VP.
After checking into the hotel, found three $5 tables open. Started off with a roll of 22 with three points made followed with rolls of 9 and 10 with one point made each time.
Next morning, found a spot at the table and had rolls of 12, 8, and with only one point made in all three rolls. Wasn’t hitting my six or eight either and was down a little more for the trip.
After a short break, had rolls of 10 and 7 which a made one point on each and was slight winner on each roll. Unfortunately followed with rolls of 7 and 5 that I lost on.
After a break the tables open were fairly full so I walked next door and shot from SR1 and had rolls of 14 and 15 that were money winners and had recovering my previous trip losses. Joined Sally at a one cent VP game and won a little on the 9-6 JOB.
Had rolls of 5, 6 and 12 that were about a break even and then had a roll of 30 that I made over a hundred on. Followed that with rolls of 5 that I lost on and then a roll of 17 that I didn’t make a point on but my 6s began to hit and I had 5 of them. In the roll of 30 I had only two 6s, but had six 5s which I don’t press a lot.
Took a break from craps to watch my grandson lose a close soccer game. He had a good defensive game though.
More to follow.

After breaking for a bit for supper, I had rolls of 3, 13, 3, 12, and 18. Lost money on both 3s, but made more on the others before calling it a night.
This casino has the fire bet on two of the tables but on the third one has a bet called Repeaters. This is the first time I had seen this bet. It functions like the All, Tall, Small in that you make the bed before the first roll and the bet comes down when any seven, including a come out seven is rolled. Not sure what the maximum bet is but minimum is $1
2 or 12 Pays 40 for 2 hits
3 or 11 Pays 50 for 3 hits
4 or 10 Pays 60 for 4 hits
5 or 9 Pays 80 for 5 hits
6 or 8 Pays 90 for 6 hits.
You can bet on any of the 10 numbers individually. Saw some of the numbers hit several different times. Remember seeing pay offs on the 2,3,6, and 9. On the 6 and 9 hits, the bettor laid the 6/9 when they were one hit away from collecting. On one they collected on the lay and on one they collected on the bet and lost on the lay. I think in both cases the bets they were protection were $10 bets.
Next morning we picked up a 23 year old grandson and took him to some of the casinos, before we went to see his brother play soccer.
Started the next morning with rolls of 6, 6, and 10. Lost on the first two rolls of 6 but recovered all but $1 on the roll of 10.
After picking up the grandson came back and had a roll of 10, 12, 9, 14, 4, and 12. The first 10 was a mid double digit winner but lost on the 12 and lost bigger on the 9. Then won on the 14, but lost again on the 4, before getting ahead on this series with the 12.
Grandson had been playing blackjack and roulette and was up a little. We walked to the TR property across the street and I played at a $10 table with a losing roll of only 5 and the grandson didn’t play at all. We ate lunch at the sport bar and then had to drive down to the strip so my grandson could cash a winning Pac1 tournament betting ticket he had.
Played at an empty $10 table across from where the tournament was and had my best roll. Had a roll of 37 starting off with a craps and then made points of 5 twice and then a 10 once and came out on the 10 again. Collected on the 6 six times. This put me positive for the trip.
More to come.

It was a little early for the next soccer game so we stopped at a Boyd property. My Grandson continued to play blackjack and Roulette and this time also tried 3 card poker after I had told him about a friend who had hit a six card RF at a Cesaers property a year ago. He won more than a hundred so was a happy camper.
There were only two craps table open and one was empty but reserved when I tried to play. Went to the other table and rolled twice on what felt like an aircraft carrier.
Had rolls of 10 and 9, both of which started with a comeout winner and made a point of 8 on the first roll and a point of nine on the other. Won a little on the first roll and lost a little more than I won on the second roll
Grandson had a good soccer game, but the team lost. We had dinner with the family and then we went back to our casino. I got a space at the table, but couldn’t put anything together. Had rolls of 9, 3, and PSO which were all losers so called it a night.
Sunday morning walked across the street to paly, but the one table open was full so I didn’t play. Played a little penny VP on the 9-6 JOB and won a little. Later, saw a new game where you are dealt 8 cards and arrange them in a 5 card and 3 card hand. And you have to have winning hand for both the 5 and 3 card hand. Made a little on it and subsequently saw that I can play it for fun on line. Will do that
Went back to the Boyd property and had rolls of 4, 5, 14 and 5. Lost on the first single digit rolls and made a little on the one double digit roll. Another roller had a roll of 30including two points I was on, so I was down only a low teen amount before I went to the Sunday soccer game.
After the soccer game when back to the casino and started out with a roll of 28, starting out with the only point I made which was the 8. Next point was the 10, which I didn’t make but I did roll five more eights and rolled three 6s. Nice money maker. I was shooting from SR on this shot.
Switched tables to get off an almost full table and had a roll of 12 which was a mid teen winner. Followed with rolls of 7 and 3 that were losers.
Monday morning, rolled three times for a total of 10 rolls so lost on all three rolls.
In summary I rolled 58 different times. Had two rolls in the 30s, two rolls in the 20s, 20 rolls of 10-19, 12 rolls of 7-9, and 22 rolls of six or less . My average roll was 9.75, and I had a SRR of 7.40 on my rolls where I was not trying to roll a seven. That’s higher than the SRR I had in any of my six trips to the casino in 2014. On my rolls I won almost $300, but betting on other shooters resulted in a net loss of $100 for the trip.
Anyone have any thought to share with me or the group? Enjoyed being in Vegas same time as part of the family was.
Presently have another visit to Vegas scheduled for May.
