Wobble Wobble

Chance C has a wobble in his dice. I know I studied this in the advance class, But I cannot remember that now and my notes are missing. Where do we start. Grip ? Release ?

Grip level fingers middle fingers may be to far down, also may be opening his hand causing the dice to fall off the thumb, may not be swinging his arm straight back and threw.

Take a I phone 6 if you have one and us the slow mo on it and look at the release.

I am sure it is all thumb, not being centered. The wobble of L means thumb is to far right of center or vice versa.

Lets keep it simple first.

It is also possible his grip is too tight. If he is putting too much pressure on the dice with his outside fingers he will cause the dice to split. It could be very slight but enough to cause the thumb to push through the dice and cause them to wobble in the air.

The outside fingers should only barely touch the dice. You do not want them to put any pressure on the dice at all.

The grip should only be tight enough so the dice do not fall out of his hand. Any tighter is not good.

TommyC, glad you moved this from off the web site to being on the GTC message board. Many can learn from this. You seem to be getting the same advice both places. Let us know how Young Son is doing and if this will correct his wobble.

Finally got to practice with my son this weekend. He fixed his wobble after the first slight adjustment. Slightly moving his thumb down on the dice. Thanks for your help. Its amazing how our instructors can fix our throw by only describing our problems !
