With one less casino following the closing of Margaritaville Casino in Biloxi last month, the remaining 11 casinos in South Mississippi still saw gross casino revenue increase to $88.5 million in September.

That is a $284,000 jump from a year ago.

The river casinos continued to see revenue erode.

Their monthly winnings of $76.1 million were $4.5 million below September 2013.

That put total state casino revenue at $160 million, down 2.5 percent from a year ago.
