Craps

Use common sense

Spread the love

I rolled into Vegas two weeks ago for a two day hit and run. Most of the tables were packed throughout my visit
due to many large conventions that were in town. I only picked up the dice once this trip when the conditions were in my favor.
I had a nice profitable roll and tripled my buy in but had to leave the table due to a dice control student with a big mouth.

I am not sure if he is GTC or another camp but he rolls up next to me and buys in and takes the dice at SR2. His grip, throw and delivery are looking ok. He quickly point sevens out and I haven’t said a word to this guy. My first turn at the dice and after my second throw, he starts in with the comments. Here are all the questions he barked out while I am throwing the dice which lasted around 30 minutes.

1) Are putting the twos on top the best hard way set to use?
2) That is a text book throw.
3) Wow, that shot is hitting the same spot every time in the landing zone.
4) I would have had a longer roll if you hadn’t been in my spot of SR1
5) Don’t set the sevens set on come out, you will screw up my all, tall & small bet.
6) Why are you coloring out? Where are you heading next?

To the students of this board, please memorize the GTC 20 Commandments. When you see another student or instructor at the table, act like a regular player and do not discuss any GTC topics or even make eye contact. I was zoned in enough to stay focused and not let this idiot ruin my roll but all of his comments were blurted out in front of the dealers and pit boss. I told him three times to please do not comment at the tables but it went right over his head. Play smart, focus on making profits and keep your thoughts to yourself. I am not your friend at the table just because we have a similar throw or am left handed. You will never be my friend if you belong to this special Ass Hat Society.

Most of them are .Maybe they should mention them at the start of classes then just before everybody leaves . Like Dom says you can show them but will they follow is the question .
I have CFRs say things to me on side which I thought was great . Nothing like you had happened .I hope he was from some other group.
It does take awhile to understand tho .
Thanks again for your help in class . I was the guy that you found that I had one long nail .
After I took the class I saw Nick at Night at a table but said nothing just watched for awhile .Then went to tell wife were I would be and he was gone buying in at BJ table but I still did not bother him .
Never did see him again on that trip .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

Hi Finisher:
I definitely remember working with you and your grip during the classes.
I cashed out and left to another casino right after my roll. Hope all is well
with you and your practice sessions and 401G growth.

Unfortunately, many in the Ass Hat Society don’t read… Ignorance is a terrible thing.

I didn’t know you made the all, tall & small bet. When did you start doing that??? 🙄 🙄 🙄

Well I really need to work on building that 401G .
The last time I was at a casino I was at MY spot and a lady came up next to me to roll . She did not do well so she said to me Since I had her spot she would move over to other side .
It did not bother me that she said that or thought that . Since some times I feel the same way BUT would never say that to anybody at table .
She moved over and had a great roll for me any way . I DON’T KNOW IF IT WAS GREAT FOR HER BECAUSE i DID NOT PAY ATTENTION AS TO HOW SHE WAS BETTING .It really does not concern me .
She threw a lot softer from sr1 then she did from sl 2 .I did move out of the way when she was on my left side .Took a step back every time she got the dice .
She also must be a regular since ALL the dealers know her .
After she rolled I had a good roll then left and she thanked me for the roll that I had .
If I stopped playing because some one had rolled in my spot I think I would have missed rolling for the passed 20 yrs. 🙂 🙂 🙂
There are more tables . I prefer to play on empty tables but that is not going to happen .
I just hate it when a non roller takes up the best spot or even 2 .
At least he was rolling the dice . 🙂 🙂 Just think the next time you may be in his spot and you will make him money .Just like I did for her and she did for ne .She probably moved over to her spot after I left but who knows . 🙂 🙂 This is to be enjoyed too .
TOOOOO LONG TO MUCH .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

Skinny, it just sounded like a bet made just for me! 🙂

I read you were in my spot so you do not want to play with somebody that likes that spot ? Then you say that the tall ,small and all is a bet just made for you .
Well just remember that on a come out after Y OU won your point if you roll a winning 7 the small, tall and all is won by the casino .
Just a thought for you to think about . It is not like the fire which stays till your roll ends .
I love playing craps and when I cant get my spot and still want to roll I just bet a little or get into it slower . I use to not care were I rolled from and had some good rolls back when .That was like in the 70s.80s and 90s .I have changed a lot since taking the class but still love craps .
I have never thought about not rolling at a table because of another player .But have because of PIT boss .
What are your thoughts about a person that has your spot but not rolling ?
Good Rolling.

Finisher,

Skinny was joking with me. He knows I would never make that bet even with someone else’s money.
I just can’t burn money like that.

I would also never make a Fire bet. There are just better places to put your money.

You never know a guy next to me bet 10.00 on fire on every player then got distracted for one by waitress and that when it hit . The dealers tried telling him but was too distracted .
I guess if you hit a couple at 10.00 you can afford that bet more often .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

[quote="Dice Pilot"] …I told him three times to please do not comment at the tables but it went right over his head.

Sigh… Some things never change, DP…
