This is one of the upcoming events:

DO AC Sand Sculpting World Cup (June 19 – July 6)

The world’s top 20 sand sculptors from across the globe will create their eye-popping masterpieces in the DO AC Sand Sculpting World Cup. Before spectators’ disbelieving eyes sculptors carve complex and detailed works, some as tall as 14 feet, with just sand and water as they compete in head-to-head singles and doubles competitions for global bragging rights and the most lucrative prizes in the world. The event, produced by the Atlantic City Alliance takes place on the Atlantic City Beach at Pennsylvania Avenue (between Trump Taj Mahal & Resorts by Steel Pier) and is open 9am – 9pm daily. This year the event runs through the July 4th weekend. FREE and open to the public.

The following event will be going on the weekend GTC holds its class in AC. Unfortunately for those in class it is at the same time classes are being held. But a spouse or friend who is not taking the class may be interested in it.

DO AC Boardwalk Wine Promenade with Official Culinary Media Partner FOOD & WINE (September 27 – 28)

The Atlantic City Alliance’s outdoor wine stroll along the historic Atlantic City Boardwalk returns with new wines to the market and rare and expensive wines and champagnes. The Wine Promenade brings together all 11 Atlantic City casino resorts to celebrate viniculture and the history, pageantry and energy of AC. The event returns in September this year with FOOD & WINE joining as the new official culinary media partner.

One hundred wines will be presented at multiple destinations along a one-mile stretch of the famed Atlantic City Boardwalk (between Steel Pier and Tropicana Casino & Resort) from 12pm – 5pm each day. Insider access to rare and expensive wines and champagnes handpicked by expert and media personality Leslie Sbrocco plus gourmet bites, live music and breathtaking ocean views combine to create an only-in-Atlantic City spectacular. Tickets go on sale in June.

I can not go to Vegas but not because I am going to AC. I was just posting this to let folks know about some of the things happening in AC.

That sand sculpting contest runs until July 6. That is well after the Vegas class.

I have not played that one but I hear it is a great course. I have played Ballamor and Harbor Pines both of which are near Twisted Dunes.

I liked Seaview and the AC Country Club.
