I know AC has its White House subs. And Memphis has it’s barbecue.
But what does Vegas have? A $56 buffet at Caesars? What happened to the dollar 99 bone in ham steak and eggs? Or the $.75 shrimp cocktail? You could go to Smith and Wilensky’s for a filet but it might be half of my by in. I might do like Doc and rose and pack some boiled eggs and fruit.
Less than three weeks and we can go on a diet. See you there.

I think Pit Boss knows all the good places to eat in Vegas.

Let’s face the facts. Comped rooms and meals as well as freebies or super cheap come ons are getting harder to come by all the time. This seems to be true in all venues.
We need to use our advantage play to get what we can when we can in comps and hopefully make enough to cover any costs we might have as we play the game we all love so much.
Just a thought for consideration; Hope others will post their ideas as well

I get rooms any time I want. All of the other comps are getting a lot harder to get.

We are able to use points for this so is comp . We stick with the tea so cost is vary little .
The drinks sure can ADD up .
We also are both Diamonds so use that comp some times .

If you find someone with a local ID the buffet at Rio is 50% off everyday except Sat. 25% off at the other rest. there. Not sure about the Chinese one. I do have a local ID because I have a house in Vegas.

Not sure if anyone here may be interested or not, but there is an app for that. No, literally. There is one called myvegas slots, where you can play slot games, while earning coins for comps to several places in vegas (13 casinos, the monorail, & house of blues). You can get discounted or comped rooms, 2 for 1 lunch buffet’s or dinner buffets, show tickets, etc.
Yes, you can buy coins, but I just use the free ones that they give every day. So in my wind down time at the end of the day, I will play some, so next time I can make it to vegas, I will hopefully only have to pay for the flight out there (and my buy in of course)!!! Nothing like getting free coins to get other free stuff ….
Just a thought ….

On my latest trip I was able to convert some of my myVagas Slots (Facebook) points into a Buffet trip for My playing partner and I. Total cost was 3 bucks and that was at Mandalay Bay. Didn’t put much credence in it prior to, but will now use that stuff more. Good for comp rooms, meals shows, drinks at pubs and bars. All the places that accept MLife players cards.

The first time I went to TAHOE I signed up for a players card and was glad that I said DO I GET ANY THING FOR SIGNING UP . Well to my surprise if I had not said any thing I would have got NOTHING . But since I asked they said that I could get free show tickets .Got 4 . While standing in line the couple behind us were saying that their tickets were over 100.00 . I told them that we got ours for signing up. They said they would do that tomorrow and see the show again Thanks . It just shows that if you don’t ask the casino will not offer . They can say No but it does not hurt me .
That was in the 80s so may offer other things by now but wont tell you unless you ask .
I got a shirt one time because I asked .Just say is there in other offers for new sign ups .
For vets that are retired or active some give discounts . Got one from MGM FOR 70 % off show tickets .But then again had to ask .You do need ID TOO .
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

OK, this one isn’t about food but thought I would mention it anyway. If you are looking for something to do
In Vegas besides play Craps then check this out.
Recently, while in Vegas, my husband and I went to "DaVinci, the Exhibition" at the Venetian. We both really enjoyed it and spent about an hour and a half reading and playing with the interactive items in the exhibit. It had pictures of DaVinci’s original drawings and then mock ups of the actual item so you could see how it worked. Some art and sculpture were included but mostly engineering and machine inventions he created for the military. Think since we are seniors the price was about $45 for the two of us.
I highly recommend and don’t think you will be disappointed! Enjoy!

I beg to differ. I am currently getting complete RF&B at the nice, new shinny, completely refurbished, Downtown Grand. They have been giving me RFB for the last 3 out of 3 trips with an average of $40-60 AVG and about 5-7 hours total of gaming. Additionally, they do not sweat the action. Secondly, they do not sweat you if you miss the back wall. Through force of habit, I blurted out "Sorry, Sorry" when I felt the dice come out of my hand and knew they were not going to make the back wall. The Stickman said, "what are you sorry about?" I replied, "I missed the back wall." He said, "Don’t worry about it. Your playing correctly, if you miss the wall, no big deal here."
If you want the name of the generous host that takes care of me and has advised that any friends of mine would be friends of his and would extend the same comps to my referrals. Contact me if you would like his name. Its really a great hotel. See my previous post regarding how tip top the Grand is.

If you are looking for a good meal at a discounted price, you might also check out Restaurant.com – there are many Vegas restaurants where you can buy a $25 certificate for only $4 !! They run these specials often. Many times the restaurant spend is only $10 or so over the amount of the coupon. Also I find that Groupon, TravelZoo and Amazon Local have great deals at restaurants at my local casinos here in CT. Not exactly a comped meal, but a lot better than paying full price!!
