Craps

Not sure if this I am on-track or not!

Spread the love

Hi fellow GTC’ers.

I took the Memphis Primer course in April. Practiced several days with basics before recording rolls. I am up to 828 documented and recorded rolls. My SRR (I know I am supposed to wait till I have 2000) is 1:6.57. Again I realize that I have a statistically insignificant number of rolls but wondered if I am at least headed in the right direction. Seems to me I am getting way too many 1’s and 6’s showing and 126 7’s seems high to me.

Does this seem to be on-track?

Thanks for your input.

Dennis

JawBones; This is a very long journey. What your experiencing right now is typical of what I experienced when I first started. You are just beginning to scratch the surface. Your progress will depend more on your ability to sustain a focused effort over the long haul. Focus on how your dice look. Focus on the grip. Read the posts that have come up on this site. There is an abundance of information to be absorbed over time. I am just completing two years of focused practice and though I have seen much improvement, the journey just continues to fascinate. Good luck and more importantly, keep practicing. DoughBoy

Its a long journey for sure .
Are you seeing more box numbers and less 2,3 and 12s ?
The numbers should show up less for the outer numbers and more for the 6 and 8 .
Do you set for 7s on come out ?
Did your first loaf of bread turn out as good as the 10th one ?
Good Rolling. 🙂 🙂

I’m been seeing the same types of numbers in my practice sessions. My ssr up to this weekend is 6.75. I’m on a casino trip now and with very conservative betting I’m up 750 for the weekend thus far. (Maybe that’s luck but happy with result). I’ve even 5 counted myself other than a pass line with odds. Played with a veteran Gtc player yesterday and he really gave me some good pointers. I’ve been able to work on some of those things while out here. Keep practicing and playing. Worst roll was a point 7and best 35. Also learning what type of tables fit me best. I’m short and several tables are to tall for me.

A suggestion, try a warm up of not setting the dice before you record any actual numbers. You don’t care about results just how the dice are reacting—take 25 to 50 rolls to get then to land together, hit 6 to 8 inches from the back wall and stop with out bounding all over the place. Get the dice results looking pretty good before you record rolls. You can throw into a bowl, throw to a target on the table such as a chip or other type of marker.

PRACTICE YOUR GRIP. Use the gripper. Hold the dice level at the position just prior to starting your back swing, and loosen your grip until they fall out. If they fall out together your grip is centered. If one fall out prior to the other you need to make sure you are centered or you may be holding one or both dice too tight. Remember a light grip is paramount.

You do need GOOD practice or you will have muscle memory that may cause your throw to be off. There are so many more possibilities but the is will be a good start.

Hope that helps. Also want others to add their input.
