TUNICA – Laughing All the Way

Spread the love

Tunica was a blast. I haven’t had so much fun since two weeks ago. Honestly, people wonder why I do this stuff. I can’t say it enough. It’s a real pleasure getting to meet so many new people each class and seeing former students come back. I just love it! It’s almost like Thanksgiving without worrying what you have to buy for Christmas (except Pitboss made us have ribs every night).

Seeing Tommy C again and his entire family, Tom/Claudia – former Team BoneCrushers, all of the new Team BoneCrushers, meeting all of the other students, it’s just unbelievable.

Hotel $150
Airfare $300
Buy-in at the table $1,000
Watching Dom at the table say, “Get that fu*king field bet out of my way as he rolls 39 number” PRICELESS!!!!

I was laughing so hard on Saturday that I had to pee but Midnight wouldn’t let me go because I would have lost my share of the slot winning if we hit the jackpot (we were due to win, I just know it and I wanted to SPIN the WHEEL).

It was even funnier when Midnight asked for a bagel at Sonic, yes, in Tunica. Although, it was sad when he ran over that turtle.

I’ll remember…
– Getting lost all three days when driving from Tunica to Memphis saying that Dom was going to yell at us if we didn’t get there on time.
– Getting lost THREE DIFFERENT WAYS in three days going from Tunica to Memphis (how is that possible?)
– Listening to Midnight tell Pitboss, after he got lost on the first day, I’ll drive tomorrow and show you how to go. He got lost too, twice.
– Having the entire table cash out when the boxman told us we couldn’t cross the C&E line when throwing the dice (which is about 3 inches from where we were standing).
– Rooming with Goldfinger (I won’t go there now).
– Wondering how much weight I could put on after eating ribs for dinner 4 consecutive nights.
– Yelling ‘Pull the Shaft’ when playing slots.
– Yelling when we won 4 coins (it cost us 5).
– Watching Rock, Paper, Scissor with Nick, Dom, Pit and Midnight as to who will bet our slot winnings.
– Cheering like a lunatic when Nick hit two hardways and tripled our slot winnings.
– Watching Pitboss twerking and having the floor supervisor saying ‘Yeah Baby, come on over’
– Getting dinner comped the next night after the floor supervisor recognized Pitboss.
– Cracking up laughing with tears during the class when Dom wanted us to find something that makes us happy
– Hearing the classic line if you locked your wife and your dog in the trunk of the car for an hour, who would be happy to see you? (I’m getting a dog)

Best of all, being with friends and students that loves this as much as I do.

I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU!!!!!

Laughing from the time you get up until the time you lay down is very tiresome. Loved every minute of the trip.
By the way, when I arrived home my dog nearly knocked me down and my wife was asleep, I love that dog. 😆

😀 😀 😀

Who would have thought this mild mannered accountant was such a sick individual when he’s off his phone and not working…

And Tommy C…don’t even go there, maybe the most twisted sense of humor of all!

In my defense, I am from New York City! A bagel and shmear is sold at every establishment that serves food. And for the record, although I did not cry over him, unlike some people (Pitboss) I did not run him over. Thirdly, I may have gotten lost but A) I didn’t have a gps and B) I was looking for a god damn Starbucks. Which is tough to come by in the south.

But as Matt said, it was a great weekend. Lots of fun and I can’t wait for Vegas!

It was a wild week for sure. I was a passenger in a car with the West Coast driver (Pit Boss), and an East Coast driver (midnight). They don’t drive like we do here in Colorado. We made U-turns on one-way streets.
We exited to the right from the third lane left. We made a U-turn in the median for a damn turtle.
We honked the horn for a solid block at a poor driver. We turned on the GPS but started driving before it gave us directions. We found the storage yard right name wrong address. We finally found the hotel but then we went looking for a Starbucks and then had to find the hotel again.

All in all it was a great week. I really enjoy hanging with all the GTC people.
I think I will drive my truck to Vegas in June.
