I have a question regarding come betting. Lets say for example, I have a $10 come bet with full odds on the 6. I wish to place another come bet but increase it to $25. If the 6 is hit does the $25 come bet replace the $10 come bet or is it " off and on"?

Reason I say that is first off it is a contractual bet according to the house. Secondly in actual game play when faced with 3x – 4x – 5x odds, increasing the come wager is the way to increase the size of your odds behind the come.

When the 6 is hit you get paid on the 6 and it comes down. Then the 25 goes to the 6 and then you can put whatever odds you want to up to max odds of course.

A 10 dollar come bet with full odds in a 3 4 5 game looks like 10 with 50 odds it pays a total of 70 dollars, they pay you the 70 dollars it comes to the come , the dealers takes the 25 that you have placed in the come and it goes to the six and then you tell him how many odds that you would like ;him to place on the 25 dollar flat bet, full odds is 125 you have 130 dollars in the come from the 10 dollar bet, 60 dollars that was the bet and the 70 that was the pay off, if you do not want full odds no what you want and say it then so this move can be done all in one action not slowing down the game one bit.
You also must be paying attention to what6y is going on so you no when the dealer is coming to you so you can make the call good luck.

Increase your odds accordingly. However, on a 3x4x5x table, the payout is the same on a $10 come and $50 odds or a $60 place bet. They both pay a total of $70. That does not change regardless of the amount bet. Same with the 5 and 9. $10 come and $40 odds pays $70 as does a $50 place bet. It does change with the 4 and 10. Hope this helps.

This may not be possible always, unless the house allows the "put" bet to increase the flat portion (and thus the odds) on the number. Otherwise, the only ways to increase the bet on the 6 are by the traveling come bet on the next roll or a place bet.

Most casinos no longer allow put bets because of the low house edge, however, like the PL bet, every casino I have ever played in allows you to increase the flat bet once the number in established, as long as the minimum bet has already been placed. Now I play mostly on the East coast, Las Vegas and the Bahama’s. Maybe the rules are different where you play, so you certainly elaborate on that. I would love to know different rules in different parts of the country. Again, on a 3x4x5x table, on the inside numbers, it doesn’t matter. The payoff is the same as the place bet payoff. Once you hit 5x or higher, it is certainly better to have a come bet with max odds. The reason why 5x is so much better is because most casino’s allow you to "push the house". On a $15 PL or come bet, they allow you to go to $75 on the 4 & 10, $100 on the 5 & 9 and $125 on the 6 & 8. Extremely beneficial to the player.

A put bet only has a lower house edge than a place bet when you can get fairly high odds of around 10X or better and you can afford to take them.

If you want more money on a specific number in that case you should do it with a place bet instead. Both bets pay the same on a 3-4-5X table. But if you increase your flat bet you can lose that money if you throw a 7 on a come out roll after making your point. If you made a place bet with that money you would not lose it with the 7 on a come out.
