Trip Report for recent Vegas trip. First night 4 roll chances on $5 table with first two being point and a couple numbers that I did not have a come bet on and then seven out (down about $50). Third one was a good roll but I don’t try to keep up with my own throws while throwing so not sure how many numbers but was initially using conservative $5 come betting without full odds and made about $150 leaving about $50+ on the table when 7 hit. Hit 4 separate points, (#8 twice) so no minimum fire but several of the aggressive bettors where quite happy with roll. Dealers where getting plenty of bets around the table so they were happy and even the pit boss complimented the roll. I had watched for a while and that was the first roll that made more than one point in quite some time so I think they were tired of seeing all the losing sessions and people leaving quickly. My next roll was like the first two so, colored up after that and called it a night.
Next morning I met up with Mikvet88 and I could not get more than about 4 numbers before the seven out but thanks to Mikvet88 he helped point out that I was not doing any backswing and I was just going forward from the start. So made sure to keep that in mind for the next sessions.
Next session was with B-Man and and my first several turns were quite bad looking. The fourth session was a good roll and I made about $175 with conservative betting like before but was nailing the 10 with several repeats of the 9 and 5. Next turn was quick and turn after that was about 10 numbers. Thanks to B-Man for pointing out that my hand was turning on the follow through and pushing the dice to the left on occasion. Tried to keep that in mind but that will require more practice to remove.
Last session was downtown and best roll was when I was on the table alone as I walked up to it after several loses happened. They dealer said, "you want to play alone" and I said "who ever thought I could afford to have a private reserved table?".
Since it took another couple of rolls before a decent roll, I’m starting to notice a trend that I should get about two or three turns out of the way before betting. 😮 🙂
This one was fun because I was winning so I was able to spread more bets for the dealers and they were just as excited as I was when I kept hitting numbers. Unfortunately, by the time we got spread out….well, you know what happened next. But the dealers were extremely appreciative and I made a little on that roll.
So, overall, a down trip since there were more losing throws and betting on a few during each session after the 5 counts but was good to see some positive throws In live action and get some good feedback on throw and form.
Great rolling!!
