We went to AC to celebrate my birthday (72nd) as we usually do, but this time we were joined by Jack and Mr. Finesse and his wife. We were the first to arrive mid-morning, and were able to get on an empty table right away. Sandtrap rolled a 9, and I followed with a 23 roll. Halfway through the roll the table started to fill up, and it took awhile for the dice to return so I went to Pai Gow, and Sandtrap decided to try his hand at 3 card poker. He got lucky with a straight flush, and was paid 40 to 1. We got on the craps table again after lunch, and Jack joined us. His rolls were a nice 21, 17, and ended with a 5. Sandtrap rolled once, went for a walk to get rid of his frustration, and rolled a nice 17 upon his return. My rolls were 10, 4, and 10. Mr. Finesse arrived just as we were thinking of leaving, and he rolled a 3 followed by a very nice 19.
After dinner, Bob and Miriam went to their room, and we stupidly went to the craps table. After 2 rolls, I said goodbye to Sandtrap and Jack, and went to Pai Gow, where I was dealt a straight flush, and went to bed with a nice profit. The other two don’t like to remember that we don’t shoot well after a big meal, and stuck it out at the craps table.
Wednesday we met Jack early at the craps table, but had difficulty getting anything going. Jack’s rolls were 8, 9, 5, and 11. I rolled a 6, 6, and 17. Sandtrap rolled a 16, 3, and 11, whereupon I decided to leave to go to Pai Gow. After breakfast we were even worse. Jack had 6 rolls of 6 and under. Sandtrap started with a nice 14, then three rolls under 7, and finished with a nice 14. My rolls were 10, 5, 2, 5, and I then gave my spot to Mr. Finesse who rolled a 10 and 13. I went to Pai Gow, (got another straight flush) Jack and Sandtrap rested, and after Bob and Miriam had lunch we all met up again. Bob started off with a nice 17, followed by a nice 19 and 10, bringing me back to even with a small profit.
We went to the Chart House for my birthday dinner, where Mrs. Finesse joined us, and we had our regular waiter, Robert, with a window table overlooking AC. As we were studying the menus, Miriam said, "Marilyn, did you see the top of the menu?" I hadn’t, but then responded, "Oh my gosh!" The Chart House had printed, "The Chart House welcomes Marilyn Taylor on her birthday!" They then roll up the menus, wrap them with ribbon, and present the menus to you when you leave. What a nice touch.
After dinner, Jack rolled a gorgeous 32, followed by a 12 and 7. And that was it. The rest of us couldn’t do a thing! They all went to bed, and I went to Pai Gow. It was a really fun day for me, because all the dealers and supervisors kept wishing me a happy birthday, and telling Sandtrap how well he looked. They always make us feel good, and therefore, we enjoy our stay due to their recognition of us.
Bob and Miriam like to play video poker, so when we weren’t at the craps table, that’s where Bob was. They decided to go home Thursday morning. Thursday early morning for the rest of us was terrible, so I left the men and went to Pai Gow. Mid-morning was no better, so I went to Pai Gow, and was dealt 4 of a kind. Jack and Sandtrap joined me for awhile, and then went to rest before dinner. We couldn’t get on a table after dinner, so back to Pai Gow I went.
Friday morning Jack started off better with rolls of 12, and 11, then petered out for four rolls, and then 11 and 16. Sandtrap was having a lot of trouble, and disappeared for a couple of turns. I rolled a 3, 12, and 4, and then a 22. One of our dealers then said, "All you had to do was get rid of Charlie for awhile." My last rolls were 6, 14, and 12. Sandtrap rolled a nice 14 when he returned. The three of us went to Pai Gow for an hour, then to breakfast and home.
I had a fantastic trip due to my Pai Gow profits, and thoroughly enjoyed my 72nd birthday. After two bouts of cancer, I am so happy to be alive, to have seen my children grow, get married, and have their own children, that I am not embarrassed to say my age. I enjoy every birthday with gusto, and am so grateful to have them. Yesterday, 5 of our 6 children, 10 of our 11 grandchildren, and my cousins from NYC joined us to celebrate my birthday. Oh, happy day!
Goddess 😀 😀

Miriam and I had a great time on this short trip to AC, it was enjoyable and it was great seeing Marilyn, Charlie and Jack. I can’t believe how great Charlie looks after all he has been through, you would never guess he had open heart surgery. I think he had a great private duty nurse. 😀
I will not be visiting any casino’s until GTC has out March Class in AC and I wanted to get as much craps play in as I could. I have always left the length of hands to others, I have always been interested in the profit of a hand more so than how many numbers I threw.
This trip was a profitable trip because I only had 2 hands that I lost money on, my first and last hands and I only lost $15.00 on each of those. My other hands were not monsters but I was using come betting (which is what GTC teaches) and I had many throws that repeated numbers, thus making money.
The best hands I had were in the high teens (thanks Marilyn for keeping track) and these hands are the ones where I made the most profit. Most people here know that I use the 2-V set 95% of the time and my first hand I did not like the way my dice looked so I decided to go the Hardway Set to help avoid the 7. This proved to be very beneficial and I used this set every time the dice came to me. I must say my toss was looking great and I was impressing myself with some of my tosses.
Repeating number is the key to making numbers and when you can throw 4 eights in a row, 3 were hard and I had a 5-3 dead cat bounce in the middle. Remember I was come betting and I was working the odds on the points I made on the come out so I was getting paid on every toss. Another time my first toss was a hard ten, I put up a come bet and I threw the hard ten right back. Then I worked the odds on the come out and I threw a 3rd hard ten in a row to get paid on my come out.
Proper betting is so important and when players bet the proper way they can make a very handsome profit with short hands.
I also player quite a bit of video poker ( just about broke even) and two sessions of Pai Gow which were also profitable.
This trip was great and very enjoyable along with being profitable.
It is great when we can play with other GTC players and avoid all of the chicken feeders. Thanks Marilyn, Charlie and Jack, see you all when I get back from Florida in March.
