The beautiful Alligator Rose and Doc spend several days at Christmas with two great grandkids. While Rose and the grand daughter were doing some sewing craft projects ( and having more fun than you can imagine) old Doc was playing games with the grandson. The first thing he said to me was "Grandpa, you want to play Egyption Rat Killer." I had no idea what he was talking about but of course I said yes. Don’t know if any of the members of this board played "Slap Jack" as a kid, but Rat Killer is similar. The difference is that instead of slapping the cards every time a jack appears you hit certain card combinations such as a pair. A few other minor rules but that is the essence of the game. Probably played 30 to 35 games over 3 days—plus Skip Bo, Monopoly and Clue as well.
Michael is a most competitive little guy at age 10 and quick as a flash. He beat me most every times. Of course the old grand dad got the biggest kick out simply watching him. I might add that after every game, his parents have taught him to reach over the table, shake your hand, and say "Good game"—win or lose.
Hope everyone on this board had has good a Christmas holiday as Alligator Rose and Doc.
Happy new year to all. We look forward to seeing everyone at the classes and in the casinos.
