All the value of this board

Spread the love

I payed for my membership to this board in January 2012. At first I did try to use this site but I found out quickly that I had paid for advertising of classes, to me it mostly sale, sale sale classes and very little answers, not what I paid for. Of course when I ask for advise the take a class comment was always one of the first answers.STRIKE ONE. The next strike is the way Lois and Clark was treated over that silly party, the man asked a question and he get a bunch of crap amd blamed for the cancelation of the party. B.S. Strike 2.
I have played with several of the students, one common flaw a large percentage of the guys have is they take way too long too grip the dice and then they wonder why they get heat. You want me to take a class and for $1495 you can’t teach them to grip the dice quicker. Then when they throw the dice, they roll to right or left NOT LEVEL very common for these students. Strike 3.There is simple answer there are one on one teachers where you get whole lot more bang for your buck. Seek them out.
The reason I am posting this is I asked to cancel my recurring bill for this crappy site on 11-11- 13 and Dom sent a note to me a week later 11-17-13 that he would let me know how to cancel the next day. I am still waiting. SO NOW THROW ME OFF THIS SALES SITE.

WELL

i surely would not ask anyone to leave the site, this like anything else in life, it
offers a way to improve based on what you put into it.

The classes are exactly the same as the site, you get out what you put in.
If a person feels they dont get their money’s worth here, there are other
sites to go to, and you should seek help more in line with your expectations.

I have been here for 4 years and have gotten back more than i have paid, and the
instructors went way beyond what was required. My throws are not perfect, neither
are theirs, and yours wont be no matter who teaches you.
But it is a free country ( well not as free as it used to be ) you are free to do whats
you feel is in your best interest.

Good luck with that

I was not going to say anything at first but the more I thought about it the more I felt I had to respond to your statement.

I looked up all the posts you ever wrote and here is what I found. Counting this one in which you are complaining about the advice you get when you ask for help, you wrote a total of 6 posts on this site.

You wrote your first post in the Get-togethers section stating when you would be in Vegas. Three people responded when they would be there with one of them leaving phone numbers to call.

Your second post was in the Craps section where you asked about Practice Habits and routines.

You got a bunch of suggestions from 4 different people and not one of them mentioned taking a class.

Your third post was in the same thread where you asked a question about shooting into a bowl. 2 people answered and neither of them mentioned taking a class.

Your fourth post was in the World We Live In section and had nothing to do with craps.

Your fifth post was relating to the megabucks lottery having nothing to do with craps. That post was back in March.

You did not write any other posts until this sixth one in December.

So you only asked for advice one time since joining the board. You got several answers within minutes of asking your question and no one suggested you take a class. Within weeks of joining the board you said when you would be in Vegas. 3 people responded, one with phone numbers.

gman makes an excellent point when he says about the site, "this like anything else in life, it offers a way to improve based on what you put into it."

If you are not getting what you are looking for out of the board then you should certainly seek it out elsewhere. But I do not think it is fair to say

when that clearly was not the case the one time in 12 months you asked for advice.

In any event, I wish you well and hope you find what you are seeking.

So sorry Tricky that you do not get it with this site. What the heck did you think you were getting, ObamaCRAPS or something along that order. Sometimes you have to pay today to make the hay. To all the others who remain here, thanks for your contributions. They usually make sense and are helpful, especially if one has attended a class. Roll On!!!

Tricky:
When I read this I could empathize with not getting the information quickly to stop paying. That is an administrative issue.
But it seems to me, that your response to the long wait was to throw darts at everything else, especially the learning side, in order to get a reaction.
The rest of your response about advice, other issues, etc. was purely and simply to get the desired result: YOU WANT OUT. I HEAR YOU.
Skinny addresses these other issues, I submit, in a logical and reasonable way. Your whole body of interaction here just does not support what you are saying.
Stick to the facts. You want to end your payment. That should be handled.
To cast doubt on everything else is just not correct.
I have never been disappointed when asking advice or following someone else’s questions.
Yes, I have noticed that class is recommended as a good remedy to a dice issue. But it happens to be true. Class is the best thing you can do to develop a good grip, toss and throw. And the people who advise it know this. ARE WE TO AVOID THE OBVIOUS ANSWER BECAUSE IT IS ALSO PROMOTION?
So, yes you deserve to get your payment stopped if that is what you would like. But to knock everything else is just wrong.

Skinny I was in a hurry when I wrote my statement , you are right about my posts. As a new member of the board I tried to go through the older post and not bring many time asked questions up again. The theme that overcome me was when many,(not all) posts of others asking advice, it was always take a class was stated at least once in a higher percent of each thread. Just to clarify.
You guys should be smart enough to know someone has paid to be on this site they are interested in a class but this site is the first step, you don’t need to drive the take a class statement in the ground. It stopped me from any interest in this site.
So since you found my statement earlier incorrect, please throw my remaining membership out and stop the auto renewal process. That is why I went this route anyway.

Some of us took the class 1st and the website came after the class.
I don’t think I would have understood most of the questions asked here if I had not attended class 1st.

I have never met any advanced students of the game that where taught by the guys doing one on one not one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been to one of them all he did was tell me what I was doing wrong and not how I could fix it.

I have been to the other websites no comparision in them either.

Just my two cents.

I am a very satisfied customer of GTC since 2010. I have taken the Primer class once, the Refresher class twice and the Advanced class once. I also have done the Video Elite twice. During the last class, Dom made a great statement which I will summarize from memory: People who want to learn to play golf, take golf lessons. People who want to learn to play tennis, take tennis lessons. The teacher works with the student one-on-one and as the student progresses, the teacher changes the lessons. People who want to learn to play golf or tennis can’t do as well by reading a book or reading a web site. True as with dice, people can get some help from web sites and reading books, but the best way to become a better golfer is to take a class from a golf pro. The best way I have found to become a better Craps player is to take a class from a Craps Pro.

At GTC I have learned they have the best teachers and "Craps Pros" around. I can definitely say that my throw is far better after taking the classes then had I not and just been reading information from this board. Please do not get me wrong, I enjoy reading this board as the tips and other information have helped me improve. The classes ARE the answer to learning how to have a great throw and how to bet. The people on this site would be doing an injustice to the folks who post on this site if they did not recommend taking the class.

I have been a very satisfied customer of GTC since 2010 and can point to an increasing 401(g) account as the benefits of my association with this company.

All solid points Chevy. While members of the board come and go, and lets remember that probably 90% of the members rarely if ever post… The point I would make is this: you do need a professional lesson to really get this, take this course then take a competitor’s school, then report back who did a more professional and solid job.
In all my searches since 2011, only GTC has shown me the overall edge to this game.
Good luck in your craps journey, remember it is what YOU put into this to gain the edge…

As Gman says, "you get out of it what you put in", I’m going to stop reading now and go to my practice table and do some improvement practice. Set 44, 😀 😆 😀 😆
