Interesting from a debate standpoint and even more interesting when you look up and see who these two gentlemen are and their backgrounds. Dinsh who was born into wealth in India. Wealthy people in India have a totally different perspective as to who has the right to have and who has the obligation to have not. Bases on his political views it seems quite natural that he has continued the Indian perspective and I would venture to guess that he is still one of the "haves"- educated at Yale and employed by various people in the Republican Party.

I don’t know a lot but I do know that is if Obama care was as bad as some make it out to be all they need to do is to let it happen and it will go away as quick as the car start seat belt mechanism. But you have to be old enough to remember when the government tried to require the seat belt starting interlock mechanisms.

RichardM,

Obamacare is the worst piece of legislation to ever have gotten to the voting stage. The best possible scenario for our country would be for congress to not fund it. If Obama cries foul, so what. That is why the government was set up the way it is in the first place, with checks and balances.

I am in favor of closing down the government rather than fund the healthcare program. We need a revolution in our country and it should start with our generation.

You say you don’t know a lot and I agree. And concerning health care and the government you don’t know squat. Take your head out of your backside and wipe that material from your eyes and take a look, you will be shocked at what is really going on. The country is falling apart and you think it is ok. Obama is pathetic and has done nothing in his whole life except to stumble and then people re-elected the idiot.

Disgusting.

Your must not have been around when the seat belt engine start mechanisms got recalled. I partly agree about the state of our country, I especially like the revolution part but at this time I don’t see anyone out there with any ideas as to what needs to be done besides pulling the emergency brake which is what the Group of Eighty says they were elected to do and after they pull it they don”t have a clue as to what to do next. The annual budget is running a steady 30 Billion over what it was prior to the depression and it was inflated and bloated then. I am one of the few Romney spoke of that is paying the taxes that are keeping this country running so trust me I am not a happy with the current group in Washington in both parties.

I say we dump Obamacare and we just all get what the Senators and House of Representative have for health care. Shit I’ll even take there retirement plan. Based on the level of healthcare the average person currently receives our country is going backward as compare to the next 15 industrialized nations in the world. Even our life expectancy is dropping as compare to those 15 other countries ahead of us.

I hate to inform you but shutting the country down just screws up the economy and is a lose lose situation. I am more in favor of continuing cut through sequesters that go straight across the board and there are no sacred cows. The United States currently spends more than the whole rest of the world put together on military spending and did I once ever vote for anyone in the last 40 years that said we should be the policeman of the world. Twenty three cruise missiles fired into Libya and the US tax payers paid for 21 of those 23. WHF

Let’s face it it is time for a third party and time to clean out Washington and start fresh. And a Third Party with a few ideas verses emergency brakes.

I think this is a great topic but we should find another forum to debate how screwed up things currently are in Washington and get back to rolling dice!

Thanks, Mr Finesse for bringing this to our attention.

I strongly suggest that everyone keep his or her political views to him or her self. The country is already deeply polarized and I don’t think we need to start polarizing the craps forum. There are certain people I would probably disassociate myself from and refuse to roll with if I knew their political views. If you want to spout off about either religion or politics, go find a site where that is the format.

Just my two cents worth.

This discussion should be continued in "The World We Live In" board as I originally stated.

Why on earth would some ones political or religious views be the deciding factor whether you meet and play at the table with them. I’m certain my views are divergent from some others on this board but that certainly isn’t going to dissuade me from associating with them. And I certainly wouldn’t miss an opportunity to carry on a discussion with them about our views an opinions afterwards.

Political and Religious discourse has been a good part of the banter on this board for the seven or eight years I’ve participated. Why should we now bend to your ideas?
