Spread the love

As many of you know I am self-taught, follow GTC books and Sharpshooter’s book also. Went to Vegas this fall to get in on the freebie Friday to see if I could benefit. PitBoss watched and helped me for over an hour. Dom for about 15 minutes. Basically they saw 4 things to work on. Number one was to slow down and be much more rhythmic, number two stop twisting my hand, number three keep the "C" just open and no follow through (this has been the hard one for me) and number four Dom would like me to go to the 3-finger front instead of the one-finger front. In addition I have a helicoptering issue but it seems to be mitigated by a better release.

Not wanting to change too many things at once I have worked on the first 3 diligently and to my benefit in the casinos. Practice has been an amazing success and I have had better sessions in the casino. I have had 3 weeks of wins and 2 of losses and am up a tidy sum. In addition to this I have changed my betting to better reflect my advantage and with the physical changes I am making more money!! I am a very conservative bettor and have had to learn to loosen up a little especially when I am on.

I have made a commitment to myself. If I continue to show improvement in results then I will take the primer next year. After just the open house I can see that having a trained and knowledgeable instructor to critique me it will be to my benefit.

Thank you Dom and especially PitBoss for all of your input.

OMC, sorry I was not able to work with you. It would have been my pleasure. AND yes your are correct it does pay to have some professions look at your throw from time to time. I know that Alligator Rose and I do some of this during very class weekend. Remember even the best pros on the PGA tour have all sorts of instructors give them advice. At GTC we are no different.

Look forward to seeing you at a class in 2014.
