Vegas Class Report! It happened Again

Spread the love

Man After last vegas trip in June, I thought there was no way I could replicate what happened back then. In June I took the VA class and then my second Refresher course. I had a career high 46 hand, my Friend Tom hit a 45 hand, and we had lots of mid-teen, and a few lower 20 hands. Just a great trip, we probably played around 12 sessions and won 8 of them.

So after that trip, I had 2 other trips to LA and did not do as well. The dice just were not reacting well. I knew I had the Advance class coming up in October so I decided not to go play anymore and just practice and try and figure out what was going on. I also decided to take a Tune up with Mr. Finesse, before the Advance class. BEST DECESION I have made in a long time. It was crazy. Mr. Finesse watched my throw for a few minutes spotted my problem, gave me some drills to do, and Bingo, the dice started looking really good. That after noon, I had a 51! That is a nice start for the trip, LOL.

The next day the Advance class started, and I really enjoyed that class. If you have taken a couple of refreshers and you are wandering if you should take it. It is a must have if you are serious about being the best you can be. The Information you learn is really at a different level. There where several Wow moments I had, like Wow never thought of that, or Wow that is cool! LOL, you do learn some other throws and like they said in class, it will mess with your toss, while you are learning all then new twist. My next few sessions I was not doing as well, but I think it is mostly do too over thinking mixed with being tired.

So Sunday night I found myself at SL1, which in itself is not unusual, but then I looked up and the next thing I know the table was surrounded by some instructors and fellow GTC Students. I was happy about that, but I was like man with all these great throwers, and I am at SL1? So the first time with the dice, I was a bit nervous and my first few throws showed it, at least to me. Despite the first few throws I made the 5 count it was pretty neat to see all these come bets come out, then you know exactly the count you are on. The next throw after they are all on a number is the most nerve racking. But I just reverted back to the tune up with Mr. Finesse, relaxed and banged out a 39! Randman told me when I started the throw, he had a 12 dollar 6. When I threw the seven, he had 270 on it. So I guess I hit a lot of sixes. LOL. One funny thing happened during that roll, I think it was probably somewhere in the 20’s and I over shot the dice and they hit the first row of pyramids, and both dice shot back jetting across the table towards me. As soon as they hit the pyramids, everyone was silent not a sound, sort of like holding their breath and I was thinking, well I won’t post what I was thinking! When the dice finally came to a stop, a cheer came out and I think it was a crap number. LOL!

Monday, I got to roll again with Doc and Rose, I was SL1 Doc SL2 and Rose SR1. We only took the dice a few of times each, I remember I had a low teen hand I think, but Rose and Doc, both had really nice hands I think they both had upper 20 hands, can’t remember for sure, but the important thing is we WON Money! Thanks DOC and Rose!

My secondary shot is from SR1, I have in the past thrown from there, and in the Advance class got to learn the shot from NF5 and BTK. I really like throwing from that position but I know it needs a lot of work. Monday night I got to play with DRCRACKER and I don’t know his handle but I will call him double A. They were SL1 and SL2 I was SR1. We had a great session, I did not bang out any monsters but Cracker and Double A were on point. We played for a few hours into the early hours, and they had great hands! Just amazing when you have back to back to back good rolls.

Then the next night DRCracker, Double A, and I played again. I was at SR1 and Double A and DRCracker were SL1 and SL2. We started a little shaky, especially me from SR1. After each roll Double A and I would discreetly talk about what was going on with my dice and suggest small tweaks. After about 3 times with the dice I finally got the dice to react much better. I had a real nice hand, it was not counted but they said it was probably in the upper 20’s maybe low 30’s. I made the 4 fire bet and actually got on the 5th number. It was fun just getting on the 5th number, because I had a few repeater points after I made the 4th number. So when I actually got on the 5th number I thought I was for sure going to hit it. It was the 5 and the 5 had showed up a few times during the roll. But it was not to be. I 7 out a couple of rolls later. Still, I was very excited that I finally had a really strong hand from Sr1. After that roll, Double A and Cracker had really nice hands as well. The next couple of rounds were not as good and we stopped play. I doubled my buy in and was very excited about that . I have to say the tweaks I made, I learned in the Advance Class. I am telling you these courses pay for themselves over and over.

I learned some good lessons this trip. The one that really stands out is Saturday night was a disaster for me playing wise. Not money wise, due to the betting GTC teaches it limits your down side, I am quickly learning how playing tired is a recipe for loosing. Plain and simple, Don’t play when you are tired. I learned it and stopped playing in the mornings about half way during the trip. I hardly ever win in the AM. I just am not awake yet. So I used the AM to put my blocking skills to the test. I am a pretty good blocker! LOL.

I just can’t say enough about the instructors and fellow students. Everyone is always so helpful and just good people. So although I did not think I could top the June class, I did and it was a blast!

Thanks Mr. Finesse, I will always remember my first over 50 hand came right after taking a Tune Up! Literally hours after!

Thanks GTC!

What a great post–so well written and it tells all there is about GTC. And you are correct—Finesse does have an "eagle eye" for what you need to do to correct your throw. It was a pleasure for Rose and Doc to roll with you for a couple of days. When you had the 39 roll I had the pleasure of "blocking" for you at the end of the table. And yes you did bang the heck out of the 6 with several 8’s thrown in as well and many other box numbers thrown in as well. Old Doc had the pleasure of having several numbers "double dipped" with come and place bets. If Doc had a problem with your roll is was the fact that Rose won more than him—-don’t you just hate that!!!!!

Hope to meet you and Tom in Louisiana soon.

Great report, even more so because I witnessed it also. Unbelievable concentration. Maybe I can tag along in SBC and block for you this time.

Louis
I enjoy reading trip reports especially the one’s where I have helped someone achieve success. All of the staff at GTC feel the same way, we want to help others beat the casino.

As our leader say’s "Winning is the most Fun"

Good job and look forward to seeing you down the road. Remember "Low & Slow"

Absolutely TommyC, in fact if my memory serves me right, I remember you had a monster roll as well. Just don’t remember what night it was, but I remember you were SL1 and I was SR1. You had an awesome hand, I remember because you turned my session into a winner! And your rack of chips had all kinds of colors, like a Christmas tree! It was a really nice hand.

Also while you were away from the table Goldfinger had a great roll also. It was a night I will always remember. Randman tried to leave 3 times and I would talk him into staying and he would make another 700 dollars and stay a little longer. 😀 😀

We believe. I always believed I just questioned my ability, but, I guess I finally listened. 😀

Have to go practice my grip now, before Mr. Finesse reminds me too.
