I’ve posted some comments about this trip and I may repeat some of my previous remarks here.
Had an invite to a BJ tournament at the Trop along with a birthday bash for my Host who I first met at the “M” based on my heavy play at Hollywood when we lived in Arkansas.
Drove over from Encino on Wednesday and got an early start. Traffic wasn’t heavy as we were getting out of LA county. So we stopped about half way there for something to drink and fill the car up again. Got to the M after 5+ hours from home. Sally had some slot money and the one open table was empty.
Started out with a roll of nine without making my point of 4 and lost less than $10. Next roll was a come out 7 followed by an on axis seven. Third roll started out with a six and even though it was only nine rolls, I was able to win what I had lost on the first roll.
Fourth and final roll started with a point of 5 followed by a point of 6 and the six right back. Then a come out seven following by the 8 repeated after two more tosses. Final point was the five again. Couldn’t make it again but recovered twice what I had lost on the point seven out earlier. Total was a roll of 19 with three points made with one come out natural and no come out craps.
I have toyed with the idea of regressing somewhere in my rolls. I know the pros/cons of regression, but would be interested in anyone commenting on that betting approach.
Sally had also won on VP so we left there a winner.
However last time in Vegas we started out winning on the first two day but eventually went home a loser for the trip.
Since we came over earlier than the tournament we went to the Orleans to check in there before moving down to the Trop on the strip. I made money on my first roll of 8 and followed that with another roll of 8 where I made the point of 8 twice followed by a roll of nine that I didn’t make.
Table started to fill up and I moved to an empty table that was just opening. Seems like I couldn’t do anything right on the empty table, first roll point seven out, followed by two rolls of point, craps, seven.
Eventfully did something right with a hard 10 come out and the hard 10 right back. Came out with an 8 then and seven out 3 rolls later. Did win on that roll of 5.
Then had roll of nine that I was a loser on and figured it was time to stop.
Took a break and came back to a fairly full table, where I had rolls of 14, 13, 6,and 19 which left me down $50 for the trip so far.
Sally likes the VP at Palms and we started out there the next morning. Started out the day on the table with one other who didn’t know how to play but the dealers were helpful. I rolled 6 times for a total of 27 rolls and the only winner was one come out seven. On Top of that the rooked qualified on several of his rolls and I lost a little on the bets on his rolls. Sally has suggested that I five count myself, but I don’t/
Went back to the Orleans and after two rolls of 4 and 22 I had recover half of what I had lost earlier at Palms. On an otherwise empty table. I made three points and had one natural seven and one craps on the come out.
Some people had joined me at the table but the dice were moving fairly fast and I had six more rolls including one of ten that I made money on, but lost on the others so was still down for the day.
Drove down to the Quad and had a devil of a time getting into the parking there. While I’m thinking of it I have often said I was going to visit the Auto Museum there but never have made it. Is it worth seeing. Has anyone been to that car museum and what did you think of it.
Only one table open, but they have stools at the table I can sit on. Lost money on the CFers that qualified before the dice got to me. I then had a 19 including 8 winners on the 6 or 8 and was ahead here. Lost again on some CFer, but had a roll of 23 when the dice got to me. Only made two points on the two rolls, but rolled several 5s that I eventfully bet on. Had no come out naturals but had three com out 1-2s. Left before giving some more back on the CFers.
Decided to stay on the strip and found an empty $5 table at Harrahs. First roll was 9 and I made a little. Second roll was an 8 and I lost a little. A CFer joined me and I had a roll of 4 that I made a little on by betting conservately. Then I had a roll of 18 where I made a point of 9 and then 4 and made a sixth of my buy in and chose to leave as some others had joined the table.
Drove back to the Orleans. Couldn’t put anything together and lost some on my own rolls and more on the CFers. Shot 5 times for a total of 30 rolls and took a break. Came back to an empty table and had rolls of 9, 13, 13,and 13. All four were winners. Table had filled up but there was an empty $10 table that had previous been empty as a $25 table, so I switched table.
That move turned out to be a mistake for even though I had a profit on the first roll of 9, I followed it up with 3 different rolls with a point of 5 that were all a point seven out and I had given back what I had made on the previous table.
Will be moving down to the Trop tomorrow. More to follow.

Since I couldn’t get my spot at the table we had breakfast and I found, I could get my spot at the one unreserved table, so I buy in. Start out with a come out craps followed by a come out seven. Proceed to make points of 9, 5, 9, 10, 4, and 8 without taking more than 3 rolls to make each of the points . Last point was a six followed by a seven out so it was a midge two digit win. I had the table for my self and made a point of 6 and then sevened out after the point was six again. Still was a small winning roll. Still had the table to myself. Next roll came out on the eight twice and each time came right back to make the eight. Next point was a 5 and I followed it my rolling the eight 8 times out of the next dozen rolls before the seven out. Bet that roll of 19 aggressively and was up low mid three digits. My best money maker this trip so far. Followed up with a roll of six with a come out craps and a come out natural, lost a little and decided to quit.
Had a small lunch at one of the restaurants at the Trop. When I went back to the tables, the two reserved table were empty but SR1 was available and the dice were just going to SL1. Lost a very small amount on the CFer, and I proceeded to have a roll of 28. Made a point of 5 twice, Next four comeout rolls were 3, 11, 2, 6. Eventually made the 6 and then made a point of nine and came out on a point of 5 which I didn’t make. Table was full so I left it and walked down to Planet Hollywood.
Table was semi busy, some people had a lot of chips and cashed out before the dice got to me. By the time the dice got to me, I had won $1 and everyone on SR side had left the table. There were three friends SO on SL that started to cash out decided to wait. I only rolled 6 times but made two points. One of the guy SO had a 45 and the next guy had a 28 and I finally had some CFers that I made money on. One of the guy came over and thanked me for turning the table around. I rolled one money time, had a roll of 12, started out 3, 2, 11, 2 and 10. Made the 10, had another natural seven winner, came out on the 8 and eventually sevened out.
Went back to the Trop and played until the wild card drawing to play in the BJ tournament. Had rolls of 20, 4, 12, 10, 2, 8, 5 and with nothing unusual happening at the table. My name wasn’t drawn and I went back to the table where I had left my chips to hold SL1. I rolled once with comeout 4 followed immediately by the seven. Called it a night.
Went down Sunday morning and had a roll of 10 that I made money on and then a roll of three so I lost a little before heading back to Los Angeles.
Summary, I rolled 86 times and won money on 38 rolls and lost on 48 rolls. As is usual I made money on my rolls, but for something different this time I made money overall on CFer rolls. I was at the table for 92 CFer rolls so you can see I prefer to play without CFer. My SRR was only 5.67 while I’m usually at something over 6. Average roll was 8.2. I use a seven set for come out rolls, and 43 natural winners and 27 craps on the come out. I use the hard way set for non comeout rolls. Six is usually my dominate number but this time I rolled more 8s than 6s from the HW set.
Almost 56% of my rolls were between 2-6, including 18 point seven out. Total rolls were 722 for the four days.

(1) How did you fit Part 2 at the bottom of Part 1?
(2) How do you log such minute details, which by the way, made the read so interesting.
Enjoyed the read. Sounded real, not embelished.

I track my own rolls in a pad, showing both numbers. On CFers I just track their total.
then transfer my rolls into a spreadsheet.
Rely on memories for the unusual events. Glad you found it interesting.

First, thanks for sharing the trip with us. I enjoyed it. But this doesn’t sound like one of your typical trips. I could read your struggles. Your point7s were much high than random. I’d chalk it up to just an off trip.
As for the Car Museum, I saw it a few years back. Fair amount of cars and some were even for sale. I’d say interesting and probably worth the admission price but it’s not something you’ll want to repeat.
As for regression betting, I know you have wincraps so you should test any new strategy with your casinos rolls over the last couple of trips first before going to the casino. I complement you on not changing your betting patterns on a whim. So many people would fall into that trap and more likely then not you can get yourself in so much trouble. It’s always best to have a plan as you leave for your casino trip. Evaluate, test and practice at home before introducing it on a live table with your hard earned money.

I know you are right about this trip.
I usually have about a 6.5 SRR and make money money on own rolls. If I don’t bet too much on CFers I doom.
I do intend to run a regression through wincraps but haven’t done it yet. I also will probably write a bet file for the big skinny also.
It was an interesting trip. Looking forward to the next one.

Oh, before I forget, thanks for all the News postings you do
