Demo Due to Block Strip Today: The center-Strip area around the Cosmopolitan is slated to be blocked by pickets from late this afternoon by members of Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and Bartenders Local 165. The protest is part of an ongoing two-year-long contract-negotiation fight with the resort-casino. The demo is due to start at 5 p.m.
