Craps Table Purchase Need Advise

Spread the love

I have just seen a craps table for sale that is close to my location, on the web . But no price stated. I have e-mail to ask.

It is 10 foot, Oak construction, and new felt. The pics on the web look like a nice table. I will check it out before making any offer.

My Question : If table is in good position What should I offer??

Many thanks in advance

I have seen regulation 12ft tables selling anywhere from $3,500 to $4,000 brand new. For the 10ft, if in great shape, I would start at $1,500 and see where it goes.

Thanks CM. I checked back 2 hours later and it had been sold.

Will keep the info for future use.

CCRoller, Alligator Rose and I have a 10 foot table and it works fine for us. It will give you plenty of room for practice at a 12 or 14 foot table. At a 10 table, practicing for a 12 foot table you will be at about SL or SR 2 or about 90 inches from the far end of the table–102 inches for a 14 foot table. Check height of table from floor to bottom and from floor to chip rail. We had to have out table legs cut down about 2 1/2 inches for Rose. Make sure it is something you are comfortable with and have been seeing in the casino’s where you play. Check bounce as well as the condition of the cover and if it is felt or micro fiber. Make sure the pyramids are firm. I know you did not ask this but it is important.

As to price which was your question, start at the $1500 mentioned in the previous post but if you get more interested be prepared to go as high at $2500. Above $2500 you are on your on.

For more information you can contact me off the board. And never forget that the GTC tables can’t be beat so you can check with Dom.

My opinion is to NEVER buy a 10 foot table. I would rather have a student buy a half table. Here are my reasons:

you need to stand about SL2 on a 10 foot to play for a 12 foot table and now you are almost hitting the back wall. So now where do you stand if you are practicing for a 14 foot table?

To me it just doesn’t make sense to use a 10 foot and spend that money

I have a 1/2 table I purchased from Goldentouch, its perfect. It can be folded up and put away when you get totally disgusted w/ your throw. 🙂 Seriously its perfect, you can move the throwing station as you need for whatever practice length you desire.

I have a 12 foot table that I purchased from GTC. I think a 12 foot is the way to go. Or a half table for the reasons mentioned above.
I had nothing when I first read the books and purchased a rig at the first class with winnings from that first class weekend.
I purchased the table after the 2nd class with winnings from the second class weekend.

My table rivals any table in any casino. I recently had to take it down for some remodeling work in the basement. It was engineered so well that it came apart in minutes. When the time came to put it back, it was a snap. And went back just like new. Nothing broken, nothing loose. It is engineered very well. You will not be disappointed with a GTC table.

I have a GTC 12ft table. I bought it about 3yrs ago. I wanted a 10ft table at the time because it would fit the space I had better. Dom made the same points to me. I fought him on it for awhile. I ended up buying the 12ft. Dom was right and I have never been sorry I took his advise. You will be very well served to do the same. I know you will be happier with that a 12ft table.

No idea. I checked the site later and the site said "It was such a hot idea it had been sold". I had sent a e-mail to the advertizer, but never received a reply.

There’s one on EBay right now for $5500, original Stardust table. Looks like a 12 footer, but hard to tell the condition. GTC tables are new, and if I’m not mistaken, can be customized too.
