Craps

I hate to lose!

Spread the love

I hate it when I lose. I’ve been losing at the craps tables for several years. I have been making those high house edge bets for years and not knowing how to bet. All the while, thinking I’m doing good and not realizing that I was not good enough to beat this game.

The frustration and anger just mounted within my spirit and very being. I thought about what could I be doing so wrong for me to lose more then I was winning. I thought why can’t I have the consistency that is needed to win? Although trying but always falling short. I thought long and hard about what I was doing, and what my results where at the tables. I needed a change and something was going to have to give.

I desperately didn’t what it to be me. Thinking about my alternatives, I decided to save some money that I would probably lose at the tables and take instruction from someone who is greater then me. By nature, I am humble and strive for perfection in all that I do. Knowing full well, striving for perfection will undoubtedly and with almost certainty leave me falling short of the mark but leading me in the right direction. Wisdom told me to seek instruction while common sense said it was not possible to beat this game. With everything to gain and nothing to lose, I came to the decision to seek instruction.

I gave up much to seek instruction. I gave up time, money, energy, days off work, and not leastly the weekend of my 23 year wedding anniversary. I have a deep and natural love of the game due to it being a mono a mono. You see, I’ve played sports before and have been given nature abilities and talents. Coming out of high school, I was offered a full scholarship to a major university for baseball. I could out benchpress the strongest blue chipper in high school football from my area. He was 6’5”, 360lbs and I weight 225lbs and much shorter(450lb benchpress).

Although older now, I’m thinking instruction and natural abilities may be the key to unlocking my true potential at the craps table. My decision to seek instruction was on point with better wins and fewer loses at the tables. With all of this being said, I am delighted to inform everyone including Team Under The Radar and fellow readers that I have been winning more then losing.

I am writing all of this not to glorify myself in any way but to enlighten you the reader of my progress and from where I was just a short time ago. It was mentioned to me that I should write about my 1st trip to the casino after taking instruction from some great people. Well, I don’t know where to start so I’ll give you the run down on it short, sweet, and to the point. I went to the casino knowing that I would win but what I didn’t know was how much money. I was given the confidence, ability, and focus needed to win. I played out what I was taught without deviation.

Focus was the name of the game and hitting the sweet spot. One man stopped playing blackjack and walked over to the table breathing heavy of whiskey and shouting you can do it and I’ve got confidents in you. While throw out $100.00 on every number, with exception of the 6 where he placed a $500.00 chip. He also threw out $25.00 on every hardway. After hitting eight points, he colored up and walked away with thousands and I walked away with $1,100.00 plus the $200.00 he tipped me. I don’t always have luck on myside but I have been winning more and losing less. Thanks to all for the help, Sincerely Eagle Eye ( Team Under The Radar).

Wow! Great job, you really were the head of the class! All that note taking paid off. I am sure your wife realizes now that the 23rd anniversary trip to Memphis was worth it. I have not had the opportunity to make it beyond the craps table in our house, but quite sure I am not ready to make the splash you did. Good job and happy rolling!

Boy, is Timmer going to be walking on air now!

But again in class it was said to practice for a period of time before going into the lion’s den.

Do you feel that your athletic abilities were able to let you fast learn what was taught in class?

Hopefully this will continue, and I hope to see you at a table sometime.

Jim

It’s easy to feel especially proud when I read a success story about Team "Under The Radar" alumni.

But I know all of the GTC Instructional Staff feel proud when reading success stories written by the students we’ve mentored and worked with.

As Dominator says, "Because winning is the most fun!"

Reading Eagle Eye’s great trip report and post, I’m sure many of us felt like we were right there at the tables with him.

In an earlier post, FuzzyDice mentions Eagle Eye’s great class notes. The fact is, Eagle Eye was voted "Best Note-Taker" by his team peers at the recent GTC Memphis class. It sounds like your class notes are paying off, Eagle Eye. Keep adding to them!

Steathman (another Team "Under The Radar" alum!) has also written some great posts. The most notable to me are those documenting his challenges and successes in his at-home practice. From Stealthman’s Primer class to his most recent Elite Video Analysis and Refresher, it’s been really rewarding to see his growing skill-set and just how far he’s progressed.

The Team "Under The Radar" comaraderie is just great! But the larger picture is that these success stories are the result of the efforts of an entire team of dedicated GTC Instructional Staff and the students who then take home what they’ve learned and are willing to put in the time and effort needed to be successful with this "thing of ours."

Go Team "Under The Radar! Keep paying it forward by keeping these great posts coming!

If only we could post sounds.

Hear, hear. In a stern British parliamentary voice!

But we take to our team spirit from our leader!

Thanks Timmer!

Just great to hear about how good you are doing Eagle! I am going to edit the post and put in paragraphs because it is just to hard to read. Don’t take it as a slight.

great posting!
