Well I guess you can say that at least he showed up, I mean I know of several bowlers on this site that average over 200, think we could get him to bowl pot games with us,lmao

Check out the video. It looks like he threw a reasonable first ball. Think he swung it from 13 to 7 but it turned a bit early and seemed to run out a bit. So when it hit the hole he had enough for a messenger but could not finish strong enough to trip the 10. I think they said he missed 9 spares out of 9. So if that is the case he needs a lot of work on consistency. He barely made the 10 he left. Looked like he got lucky by barely sliding into it.
The shot in the National Open in Reno is usually pretty tough. Being able to swing it the way he did is a good sign. Of course it may be due to the equipment he was using as well.
