Well, my much needed trip to Craps Meca is a week past. After reflecting on the experience I can emphatically state that not practicing prior to it was a mistake. Much like at home, when you first pick up the dice, after an absence from the practice rig my shot stunk. They were splaying out, wobbling, splitting and generally doing as they pleased.

After several sessions they were finally starting to behave, however, from the confidence side the damage was done. I was hesitant to bet as I should have once they started to settle in. And while the monetary damage was abrogated in the later sessions I was unable to put together enough to get back to even.

The brighter side of the trip was finally being able to meet Brothelman. He and I had several conversations after playing sessions and during meals. And like advertised he has the city locked in. No matter where we were he knew everybody. Stopping to shake hands and talk with every Casino somebody there was.

B-man was a big help in settling down my throw too. He made several observations after table sessions which struck home. And after making slight changes there was a marked improvement to my throw and the results. Thanks B.

The Griz joined us for a short time and a couple sessions. Unfortunately he was just in for one day conducting Biz and couldn’t hang around to play longer. Good to see you again guy.

We didn’t dine in any upscale places as is our usual. Made it to Grimaldi’s out on Eastern Ave in Henderson and as usual had great pie and fun flirting with the great staff. Definitely the place to go if you want a break away from the flash of the strip.
On the down side of do yourself a favor, stay away from Steak and Shake (SouthPoint) for burgers. Same as Burger King and BK is cheaper. Oh by the way 2X odds max.

My travel partner, plays mostly BJ, had a very difficult time finding tables that hadn’t gone to 6/5 BJ pays. This didn’t change for single/double out of hand games, multiple deck shoes or constant shuffle tables. Seems like everywhere is going that way. Even on the large denomination games as well.

We experienced no heat what so ever, nothing. As a matter of fact in most locations we played the Stick would stand clear out of the way and we could set up over the C/E in the proposition area. Could almost reach out and drop the dice at the other end. Just hit the back wall, act like gentlemen and of course tip the crew. Almost felt like Squatters Rights.

Overall, a relaxing trip which, more than everything else, is what I was after. Looking forward to either June or October (maybe both).
B-man Thanks for the advice and guided tours, let’s do it next time as well.
