Still into horses and poker?

It was Chip’s RV that I mentioned in my recent post about about how I became involved with GTC and when I mentioned the Tunica Touch Group.

When you asked if Chip and his wife Dip were still into horses I have to let the other members know that people who are into horses gaze with wonder and envy when they receive their various horse publications and see the horses that these folks have bred and trained. They are at the pinnacle of horse breeders and have (excuse me if I don’t know the proper termination) National Champions in their stable. Their horses are world class.

Chip, we are so happy to hear you are coming back. It has been a long time. Will you also come to Vegas?

We are already looking for a way to get to the horse show a year from Nov. I don’t think we can make it this year. We are still trying to get Charlie on an even keel.

We were excited to see you in October. Hope to see you and Dale soon.

Noah, Chip was one of the rollers on Sunday after I took the class, when Alligator Rose and I made enough to pay for most of my class and part of hers. A great guy.

Just to add some more history, bithnCh and Dip are good poker players and if I remember correctly, Did has won at least one women’s event and both had finished in the money in other Tunica events.

In answer to your questions, yes we still have horses, but we are limiting our breeding these days. It was always a physical challenge, but now that aspect has become too much for us. We still own our super horse "Bustline". As btk stated she is our 7x World Champion and 2x Reserve World Grand Champion. We have raised many WC’s and WGC’s and like btk stated we are very proud when we see one from our farm doing well in the shows.
Poker continues to help pay for my woodworking hobby. This year I am on somewhat of a roll, so to speak. I only play tournaments and have made the money in 7 out of 10 since the first of the year. I have totally drunk the "Festool" Kool-Aid so I need to keep the streak alive! (Look up the Festool prices and you’ll understand) 😮
I retired from my career doing anesthesia in Aug. 2010 when I suffered a severe back injury. I have not regretted that decision for one moment as the possibility of causing harm to a patient because of my preoccupation with my own pain would have devastated me. Especially after a 40 plus year career with NO law suits!
Soooo…..fast forward to today. Dominator and the rest of the partners have invited me to return to teaching with them. I look forward to the challenges and hope to be a asset to GTC and all of our students.

It has already been said, but I want to throw something in. Next to Goddess and Sandtrap, Dr Crapology and Alligator Rose, Chip and his lovely wife Dip are a husband and wife team to be admired!

Nothing in a long time has made me happier than to have Chip teaching with us again! You all will see just how great a teacher he is!

Welcome back chip!

I had to call Chip last year in June when I was heading to the WSOP in Vegas. Even though we had not spoken in a few years, we had an hour long conversation about poker, his advise helped me last the entire first day. Sure no big accomplishment for a world class player, but for me, I reached my first years goal and was on an hour out of the money when I got knocked out when my pocket A’s were cracked by pocket 3’s.

I look forward to more great conversations with this very smart advantage player.
