Craps

AC Class report

Spread the love

I wanted to thank all of the instructors and mentors once again for all their help! As an advanced student, I didn’t get to spend much time with too many of the instructors on a non personal level, but it was so nice to spend time socially. A special thanks to Dom, whom as always, led a kick ass class. And a special thanks to Daryl and Charlie, oops I mean Billy for all their hard work in helping me. I really appreciate the personal attention they gave me. For any student reading this, Please sign up for the elite video. It is the best money you will ever spend when it comes craps. It is great to be able to see your throw in slow motion and be able to speed it up and slow it down and see exactly where your mistakes are. Thanks again to all of you for a great weekend.

Michael

I was in the advanced class also. I thought the class was excellent as it breaks down your shot. Piece by piece and then rebuilds it again. Billy and NFF did a tremendous job of focusing on each student and giving individual instruction that I know will be really helpful in the future. I know I now have a lot more understanding of the techniques and an understanding of how to analyze my throw and make it better for the different conditions you encounter at different tables.

I also took the video elite and agree that it is a valuable tool. It was great. Video your shot. Analyze it. Work on problems and learn fixes. Go back to video. Analyze again. Etc, etc. After the video analysis, I had a great session at a casino on the boardwalk. 4 points, many many 6 and 8’s . Good profit. Saw the results first hand. It is a must if you are serious about improving your throw.

I especially enjoyed the other guys at the class with me. Mike, Harry, Dave, Leo: All great guys , with great shots. I also learned from each of them something to do with craps. Either a betting strategy or a throwing tip, or a place to play tip.

On another note, it was great to see everyone and share some time with them. This is a special group of people. Looking forward to the next time.

I still have my notes from when I took the Advanced Class many many years ago. Billy and Daryl gave a great class then and it has gotten even better over the years. They are terrific teachers who hone in on the things one needs, to get to the next level once you have put in the work to be eligible for the Advanced Class. NFF and the Kid complement each other in their analysis of each student during the class. It is a rigorous course with loads of information and an enormous amount of hands on experience over the full weekend.

I have noticed recently several students take the Video Elite the same weekend they take the Advanced or Refresher Class. While it was not designed that way, it seems to be a great adjunct to one’s learning process. Zero in on what needs to be perfected in the Video Elite and then work on it the entire weekend with the benefit of instructors watching and critiquing your throw. After class, the video you get to keep from the Elite enables you to remember what you need to do in your practice sessions at home. The DVD of your toss is a big benefit for your home practice.

I would also like to give my thanks to all the mentors and instructors who helped all of us this past weekend. The slight change in the format I thought was awesome. This was my third class with GTC and Im home with more knowledge of the game today.
Elite Video was just awesome and I’m home now and getting ready to go into my man cave for some practice.
Dom,
You have a crew that is just a class act and just wanted to commend you for that……
Wish you all well and see you in June!

I too also had a great and informative time in the advanced class. I learned alot but of course the main thing is always to practice practice practice. The instructors were great, passionate and patient.

Myself and 3 others, one primer and another advanced played at a Carabbean named hotel in AC on Monday after the class. We played 1 pm to 6 pm. Craps staff was friendly. We were given a comped meal without our asking. However we again played 8 pm to 9 pm same staff different attidues. All was fine til the phone rang behind the table. BP kept going "shoot shooter" to get the dice out faster. Setting times and throwing were less then 7 seconds. Two other suits showed up. They started staring at us. We were the only ones at the table. They raised the minimiums to 10 from 5. Big deal as we were all placing bets above that. We felt the stares and note taking from the now 4 suits at our table. At 9 pm we felt it was time to leave. Suit said loudly as we colored up " You guys are not going to give a chance to get our money back?" Think low 5 number profit total for all of us. We tipped, were polite to the dealers and caused no hassle. So I guess taking the classes helped.
