Guns

Spread the love

Was talking with some people about gun control and they suggested something I’ve never heard discussesd.

Does the following make any sense to you.

So the second amendment authorizes you to own a gun. Fine, lets agree about that.

However, if you own a gun, you must be able to prove that people who are injured by that gun will be compensated for that injury. Sorta like having to have liability car insurance.

Now I know that auto insurance is a state by state thing, and I admit I though a federal law to require me to buy insurance would be unconstitual.

However with the new federal health care, looks like I as wrong.

You have the right to own your gun. However, maybe you will try more to preventsomeoneelse frm using it.

Don’t know if it would help but wouldn’t interested in your thoughts.

So what your suggesting, if I understand, is that I carry Liability Insurance on all my Firearms. Then should your neighbor break into my home and steal one, use it to do you harm, "I" would be liable to you for the injuries? Ridiculous, go after the SOB that shot you, no that won’t work the bastard hasn’t got any money, that’s why he’s out taking my shit.

Additionally, some asshole comes into my house while I’m here, if he gets by the six English Mastiffs, get shot by me and your going to make it easier for him to sue me for the misfortune of being a burglar …..

Please how about something more attuned to those of us who live in Realsville.

Stephen C,

Don’t put words in my mouth, look at my example about your car insurance insurance. Using your example, but substitute car for gun. Would you car insurance pay anything. I doubt it, for ilivedthrough a example where the owner of the car that hit me claimed he had not given the person who was never found permission to use his car.

Whether the son who used his mother’s gun at New Town would fit in this I’m not sure, but believe if a crazy bought a gun and insurance, say the Aurora guy the insurance would pay.

My idea may be off the wall, but I’m not sure how to reduce the odds of future incidents.

I’m not sure the NRA’s idea is the way to go or not.

Do you have any suggestions for consideration?

Sometimes bad things happen. No amount of laws, regulation, restrictions, or insurance will prevent that.

I think the idea creates a whole new industry that would be designed to seperate me from my money. It would just create another possible victim for the lawyers to fleece. The guy who steal my gun an does harm to someone is liable, but he ain’t gots no money, so they come after me? No different than with the car example. Can’t get the driver, get the owner. If that doesn’t work sue the car manufacturer or the mechanic that maintained the vehicle.

The soultion? More armed citizens. Make it a game of Russian Roulette for those that wish to do harm. What are the odds this person is packing? Darn, Snake Eyes, you lose, thanks for playing.

The first thing you need to understand is the gun control has nothing to do with
less people being hurt. It has to do with the next election and politics….

Politicians use the really bad things that happen to get government control
over the things they could not get otherwise…..

For instance the NRA has done more to provide for safe use of fire arms than
any government agency…..do you think gun haters care…. ofcourse not.

Lets actually take a look a people being killed….. This president stands up
and says we need to make sure that anyone that buys and sells guns to be used
in crime is severely punished….. really????? this administration bought over
2000 asssault weapons with the intention to sell them to criminals and they
did and over 200 people were killed…. was anyone punished….???? no

This administration is now providing air craft and 200 tanks to muslims that
have pledged to destroy isreal……… will any government official pay
when these weapons are used to kill american service men and women…. or our
friends….. ofcourse not.

Obama understands when he preaches gun control, more guns are bought in
anticipation to that, than any number to be decreased because of it. There are
millions more guns in American because of Obama, than if he had never been
elected…. that is a fact…

Now the question is the 2nd amendment….. does any one need an assult
weapon….. i dont …… you may not… but i hunt with what i have, the
next guy may not hunt but may want to target shoot with these. Just because
we dont do what some others do with guns does not mean they have any
less rights to have them.

Thousands of americans are killed on the highways each year…
Now if people never drove on vacation, or to the movie, or to a
recreational outlet, thousands would be saved, but we dont ask that,
almost 200000 are killed by medical mistakes, do we say now is we
just cut back on the number of doctors we would have fewer deaths…no
We have had over 51 million dead kids since 1974 because some people think
abortion should be the national pass time…. 51 million… imagine that

Here is the thing, we have over 300 million guns in America…. taking a few
away makes no difference to those that really want to do terrible things.
It only serves to build a resume for some politician for the next election.

The Gun issue is a cover-up for the White House 👿 👿 👿 because they would rather talk about guns than SPENDING 4 Billion Dollars a DAY, more than they bring in. Set44
