First off, i hope everybody had a wonderful Christmas.
My wife and i spent the holidays in South Lake Tahoe at one of the Caesars properties, the room was comped. During our stay, 5 feet of snow fell, so it was a beautiful white Christmas.
I usually play early in the mornings and early afternoon. Then my wife and i would do fun day trips, such as the Tahoe Queen Paddle Boat cruise across Lake Tahoe into Emerald Bay, absolutely breathtaking! Also horse drawn sleigh rides and renting Ski Doo snow machines.
Like most trips, had some ups and downs at the table. One morning i had a nice profitable session where i turned $300. into $2800. I left the table and went over to Starbucks for a decaf coffee, to critique my play. Came back to the table which is a nice 12 footer. There were 3 people playing and one person was at my favorite spot sl1, so i took sl2. The dice came my way within a minute or two. It was a $10. min. table. I placed a fire bet with the dealers on for a buck. As always i had the dealers on the pass line with full odds, the dealers love me for it. As usual i was the only one tipping.
Once again i was having a nice session, after about 20 min. of tossing i was up on all the place #s and was hitting all the hardways as well. By now i had the dealers on the pass line for $10. with full odds, also the dealers on the hardways for $7. each. I had taken enough profits and was ready to start full pressing on all my place bets that were up to $150. to $200. each.
I felt like i was in the zone with a good rhythm going, since there was just a few players, the payoffs were quick and little delay in getting the dice back in my hand. I got the dice and set, looked down at my landing spot, 2 woman walked up to the table and threw 3 bills right at my landing zone. I put the dice back down, the stick man pulled the dice back and wispered to me, idiots!! The woman looked like gypsies, loud and rude. They wanted $300. in nickle chips. They were presented they’re chips in 3 stacks. At that point the dice were delivered back to me, i set the dice again and looked at my landing area, the lady was picking up 2 stacks of chips and proceeded to drop all 40 chips all over my landing area!!! 😡 I put the dice down again, and muttered what the F&%k!!! one of the dealers shouted what the hell!! After what seemed like an eternity to clean up, the dice were presented back to me. I set again and looked at my landing spot, the woman had just pulled her hand full of chips only to drop them all again 😡 😡 I won’t repeat the language that was used at the table at that moment, you can imagine!! Well after all this nonsense, my ryhthm was shot, you can imagine the next toss was a 7 😡 😡 😡 If Dom and Brothleman were at the table there probably would have been an international incident!!
I know distractions are part of the game, i usually am able to deal with most interruptions without losing my ryhthm, it takes alot to get me upset, this did the trick. After this, to cool down, i went and had a massage.
Now that it has been several days since this happened, i have to look at it from a humorus side. If i had been standing at the table not playing but witnessing this debacle, i would have been crying laughing so hard. Oh well chalk it up to a memorable session.
I’m sure many of my GTC friends have similar stories, lets hear them.

Good Rolling. PS At least it was not the casino that did it.

I had something similar happen, just the other week in Vegas, was only a couple of us on a table, early morning, when a drunk appears and plops down right in the landing area just as I was about to roll, money scatters everywhere. Once he’s done getting his chips, he’s dropping them all over the table, took a while to get him set.
This table had the Small/Tall/All bet and I’ve got them all but the 12. Everyone is waiting on this number to show, (I’m not betting this, but the other two and the dealers are on it). Running probably a high 20 roll, tasty money maker by then, forget the 12, I wanted the 10 I’d bought and hit twice to come again. But…I am totally out of any "zone" I may have been in. Anyways… the interesting thing that happended is that the box and his sub that just arrived (I know them both) have been witnessing this delay and both whisper to me "turn your bets OFF!". They don’t usually give me advice, so they could see things were out of the norm…Off they go… and you can guess the next roll, the devil himself…
It all comes back to good Karma, I like this crew and tip them well (and am usually the only one tipping). nice to see someone looking out for you when the going gets rough.
I have also gone for a Starbucks run when similar things like that happen, it’s really best to totally step away from the table and re-compose.
Overall, sounds like a great trip, nothing like hitting the casino for some $ and having family fun too! too bad that pesky issue came up!

I usually call my bets off and/or lower my bets for a couple of rolls until I get my composure back. On many occasion with the bets off and/or lowered I 7 out. Have had the dealer say "guess you must have gotten a phone call!!" They are idiots.
Hope we can meet up in the near future.

Hi Doc,
When i left the table and thought about what had happened, i new i should have called my bets off. I guess i was too hard headed to think i could get through all those distractions without losing my focus. Lesson learned, won’t happen again.

Speaking of an international incident, when the Playboy article was written about me, we went to a $100 table with the writer. Half of the table was reserved by a kid from Japan. He had two scantily dressed ladies on either side of him and about 150K in chips in front of him. Across the table there were two other "ladies" putting on a show that you would see in a strip bar.
Well I am throwing and he is constantly making late bets. I could take it anymore and said loud enough for everyone to hear, "If you guys (dealers) don’t make him stop with his late bets there is going to be WWIII at this table that will make WWII look like a walk in the park!"
