The First Lady and I usually go to Vegas each December for the NFR Rodeo Finals, due to different issues, we hadn’t been able to go for the past two years. Finally this year, we made plans to go, her Father had recently passed away after an illness and she wanted to take her mom for some relief and to watch some bull riding. Having been out of touch with Golden Touch for a while, I decided to go online and check in. Well, apparently, it had been too long as I couldn’t log on, either having forgotten my password or my "lifetime" membership had expired. So, we went "cold turkey"! We had 3 free nights reserved at one of the nicest hotels on the strip, but as usual, the First Lady decided she wanted more time, and one of her rodeo buddies was staying at another hotel, so I made reservations for 2 rooms there for Sat. nite. Upon checking in, apparently this hotel was connected to one of our Players Cards, and she upgraded us to two adjoining suites at the end of the hallway, so we must have had 150′ of windows looking out over Vegas, in fact the First Lady liked it so much, she didn’t want to leave, so we ended up staying there and sent our daughter and Grandma over to stay in our "free room"! This decision ended up setting up one of those wierd random events that was pretty neat!
Having not played much over the last two years, we were not there to break the bank, just to enjoy playing and relearn the game some. So, in the mornings, prior to meeting up with our daughter and Grandma, we would go down and toss a few, at this hotel, no one was on the table and it was $5, which was perfect for us to reaquaint ourselves. My second turn turned into a great roll, it caught the attention of 3 Asians, who started betting, the older man with green chips and the two younger guys with red. Now, I have a flaw in my roll, with the hardway set, apparently one dice rotates a couple more turns than the other, which results in a seven. So, knowing this, I use that for my come out roll, so the first three come outs I rolled two sevens each time and the 4th time one seven, so everybody got paid before my point was established! Then, I would switch to the 3V set for my points, which if my point were other than a 6 or 8, could take a long time to make, but I was doing good to just set the 3V efficiently, without worrying about 4’s or 5’s sets. On one throw, I even dropped one dice halfway down the table and I came up with a hard 6, which was also my point. I was concerned but the stickman just congratulated me on "lucking out", may have helped that I also had a bet out for the dealers. Now also, I’m not like some of you who get in the "zone", I’m aware of everything going on, the waitresses wear little nighties, which if a guy were looking you would see a black thong underneath, I’m listening to the dealer talk about what he did last night, man talk about a challenging occupation!! Fortunately this table had an emblem just past the Pass line, that I could concentrate on using as a landing area, so that helped.
When my roll finally ended, the First Lady and I had each tripled our bankroll, and the Asians did well, even to the point that when they gathered up their chips to leave, the dealers had an argument as to whether they needed to color them up to get enough red chips back, they finally decided they still had enough! We didn’t attempt counting our rolls, as "who would’ve expected?", at first I told the First Lady, I must have rolled 50 times, then "no, that’s not possible", but it had to have been in the 30’s – 40’s range! At least enough to get us excited about the game again!
The First Lady had her own "good roll", not so much for the amount of rolls, but for the points she made! Different Casino, crowded table, so she took Right Stick 1, she sets for 7’s on comeout, so if she rolls a 7, I know she’s on her game! For her point, she was taking a long time setting, and I noticed she was actually trying to set for her point, whether it was a 4, 5 or 6. She then proceeded to make her 1st point on her first roll after establishing her point, same thing for her next point, and then her 3rd point, her 4th point took her an extra roll to make. So, her first 4 points, she made with 5 throws, and they were not 6’s and 8’s. Obviously, her throws were a thing of beauty, stayed together tight and touched softly, wow! You can make some money putting max odds on a roll like that also!

Sorry, I know this is getting long, but back to the weird coincidence of staying over at the Hotel. After attending the Atlantic City Primer course, I met Richie the "Wow Man" as he lives only about an hour from our farm in North Florida, he was kind enough to help us with our throws and we even met up with him on a trip to Biloxi. Just hadn’t touched base lately as we had other issues going on. So, the second morning at our hotel that we extended our stay at, we were down at the Craps table, no one there playing, except one big guy just "chattin" up the dealers, I laid my $100 down and waited for chips, but the dealers were so focused on this big guy and his stories about planes, Gary Powers, spys, etc., I had to wait until he finally finished and left before I could even get chips. So, we finally got to play, and I looked up and said to my wife, hey that guy in the back that’s talking to the big guy looks just like Richie! Sure enough he walks over says Hi, what a coincidence, no prior planning and our friend Richie is standing at our table watching us play! What a great fraternity this Golden Craps organization has started. Oh, yes, the big "talker" guy that had the dealers all tied up, Richie motions him over and says I would like to introduce to the "Brothleman", no way, I know him just from the posts when I was going to the site. Just like meeting an old friend, will have to apologize to him for mentally getting mad at him for dominating the dealers, while I was ready to spend some money! The Brothleman, then proceeded to entertain us with his wisdom of "all things great and small", even could talk rodeo with the First Lady! What a guy, the Wow Man even says he has a "halfway decent" throw! I would like to see that for myself sometime!

That’s more than enough for now, just wanted to let you know, The Senator and First Lady are baaack!!!!
