Since conventional economic wisdom would lead one to believe the meltdown is inevitable regardless of these negotiations, why forestall the calamity. Clearly any thinking individual can predict that a compromise with the Dem’s will be nothing more than revenue generating measures coupled to spending reductions set to take place sometime in the future. And like every other time there have been compromises of this nature the Dem’s have after the fact come forth with legislation that negated any benefit the cuts would have derived.
I think the melt down would better be fielded now than in the future when it will be even bigger. Bring on the civil unrest we are going to see now, let the Ghetto gators rampage now because there isn’t the money to pay for their Free Obama phones, Free food stamps, Free housing/rent or Free anything else. Then they can get off their lazy asses and fend for themselves like the rest of us have to do 24/7.
Just my thought for the day ………….

and most people dont have a clue….
Obama wants to avoid an agreement…. end of story……
why you ask… that is simple…. a number of serious financial advisors indicate
there is a good chance of slipping back into a recession next year…. imagine that,
and it would be blamed on Obama policy,,, as it should be.
but god forbid a dem ever get blamed for the damage they do…. well not his time
either… by avoiding a settlement, he can claim that if there is a recession next
it year it was not his fault, but republicans for not compromising….
if you go over the cliff and there is no recession, he can blame republicans for raising taxes
on all americans… and he will fight like a "true american hero " to return the
cuts to the hard working middle class.
Republicans are no match for Obama.. he may as well be playing with a group
of kindergarden kids….
republican congressman and senators have lost the ability to communicate with
anyone about anything in a manner that can be understood by the average person on
main street.
I am embarassed to have some of these people represent me, and even more embarassed
that i have no idea what to do about it.

I wish I could express myself as well as you have, because I agree totally with your analysis. Set44

The Federal Government spent almost ONE TRILLION Dollars on entitlement programs not including Social Security in the latest fiscal year. Almost half of the National budget is "Given" away to your poor. That’s enough to give every "Legal American" over 18 several hundred thousand dollars a year.
Nobody here is against helping the true needy, but not the lazy who refuse to work. There are about 2 percent you could say are unable to work that means. So 45 percent of your 47 are lazy, useless and unmotivated. Your probable sitting there in the 45. And I for one no longer want to work so you can eat. Get off your lazy ass and get a job freeloader.
