Hey gang…how many of you play craps with your spouse or significant other? I know that Dr. Crapology and wife do but I’m not sure who else does this. Anywho this question pertains to playing craps with your spouse when the two of you don’t share the same philosophy about the game. For example, I believe in 5-counting, dice control, and come/place betting whereas my gf is a random roller, who plays the field and all of the other "crapper bets" on the table. Ii try to tell her about the odds on the table and how to use dice control but once her eyes start to glaze over, it’s a wrap!
So how did u guys teach your spouses the game properly without them losing interest?

The second answer may be to hang a carrot in front of the spouse or significant others nose. Tell them if they play your way that day whatever money you both make will be used for—name something they really want—an expensive purse, i pad, etc. Maybe if they see the wisdom of your betting strategy and see that you win money that you are now willing to spend on them you might be able to get there attention and make an impression for next time. I know that you want that money for your 401G but one day’s profits shouldn’t hurt you too badly.
Sometimes its just not possible to sway someone and you have to agree to disagree—even when you are right! 🙂

Trust me you will not win that debate.
After a number of attempts I gave up.
She played her way I played the GTC way.
By keeping good win loss records for both of us she saw for herself
this is real and works.
She has not taken a class but does practice with me and now plays the
way I play. (her idea of course.)
Good luck with a tough battle

Hey JRC..I think it’s more about the $$$ for her than anything else. As long as she’s "winning", she doesn’t care how it’s done. But what I’m trying to explain to her is that in the long run, she’s going to lose ALOT more than she wins! And when she loses, that means less money out of the bankroll to play with for the both of us.

Thanks Goddess! Great read! I think if I can explain the game better to her then she won’t be intimidated. Dice control on the other hand, will have to wait!! Baby steps man!!! Baby steps!! LOL

Husband/wife, girlfriend/boyfriend, friends and so on working together will have twice the impact if they play the right way.

This is definitely true! Working together increases the bankroll and profits over the long haul while minimizing the loses.
