I just finnished putting together my practice table,
It’s a GTC table slightly used but in very good shape in fact it still looks new.
When people look for me, they’ll find me in the garage practicing, for the most part.
I have been using a practice rig for almost a year.
I feel like a kid who just got his first baseball glove.
Awesome!

A table can make all he difference in your practice as it is more like casino play. Just make sure to do some of the drills like Alligator Rose and I use. A warm up with these drills can also be most helpful. The drills we use are throwing into a bowl, placing a mirror (about 24" by 26" purchased at Targer or Home Depot) against the back wall so we can watch our entire arm swing, throwing around chips in the landing zone, etc. All these and more can help you see flaws in your throw. Then get down to playing a real game with chips.
Most importantly always (and I ment always) even when playing with chips, watch the dice and the results so that you can self diagnose for problems. You don’t want to keep throwing with an inperfection in your throw that will be hare to correct.
Just a few thoughts.

As Dom said to me " you need the table in a humidity controlled environment" or it will warp. I guess that means a garage is not a good place for it!!! I unfold my GTC throwing station and receiving station and set it up in my basement where I have the dehumidifier set at 55. I close it all up and put it away if we are having a party or something. 🙄

I wasn’t getting the proper bounce with my rig i built at least I felt that way, so Dom told me to pick up a good quality pool table felt. I did and what a difference plus I got new dice another huge difference, again it may just be in my head but whatever works, right?

So if you plan to buy a practice table, it should as close to "regulation" size (14ft) as possible?
Hey Doc… are there any other drills you suggest we do while practicing our throws?
